The fact is, Franson has been good 2 out of 4 years in Toronto. I'm not sold he's worthy to keep. But hey, even if he walks, Burke stole him for nothing.

Kadri was one of the highest scoring players in the NHL 2 years ago. Last year people claimed it was a bad year for him. you know what? He scored 50 points with limited ice-time. He is the real deal. Very good #2 centre at the very least.
The info on the Franson negotiations is readily available (Google).

Doesn't matter how they acquired him, losing a valuable asset is going to hurt them.

Whether or not Kadri is "the real deal", Leaves are gunna hafta pay him real-deal money.

Or trade him.

The point remains the same.

Leaves are gonna be a much worse team next season than this season...

Tuna right now:

Flyers 7, Leaves 4.

Carlyle leaves Bernier in net for 50 minutes before pulling him at 7-3.

Next home game the jersey-toss....

That was a fun game to watch. The first period was a coaches nightmare.

Yeah... about that Leaf defence. Pretty funny when you scratch Gardiner for his "erratic" play, and you still get lit up for 7. Is he back in next game to "stabilize" their D?

Toronto is giving up 34.1 shots per game (27th in the league). Only Buffalo and Colorado give up more shots. In the leaves past 10 games, they're averaging 37 shots against per game. Horrific team D.

Nah, they'll be better. They have a better coach.

I think Gardiner was benched due to that ridiculous delay-of-game penalty I mentioned (in the 4-1 loss to Car).

Seriously, who does that?

This guy is fantastically stupid.

Yet his IQ is probably average among Leaf defenders.

As a group they are probably worst in the league at playing defense.

Yet their forwards don't come back to help out much.

Like I've been saying, they'll miss the playoffs this season, and be worse the next.

I'm starting to worry about how high they'll draft in 2016. :look:

EDIT: found the Gardiner delay of game penalty:

Yep. That was kinda my point, Doc. It's hard to single out Gardiner for being "eratic" when your entire back end is staffed by schizophrenics.

15 goals against in three games, fumbling towards reality.

So, you're saying it was actually one of their BETTER defensive games recently.

Hey - don't make it look like I'm handing out complements in this thread! I'm guessing the Hawks sat on the lead with only 7 shots in the 3rd.

Let's not comment about tonight's game.

BTW, how could Boston trade Seguin? And for a 3rd liner? Yikes.

Canucks didn't play tonight. They beat the Coyotes 7-1 last night though.

No, no.... LET'S!!

Leaves outshot 43-26 by one of the worst teams in the league.

Yet somehow they won SO they won't at all concerned with advanced stats during the Christmas Break.

The Big 3 upcoming free agents with great numbers tonight

(Bernier 43 saves, 1.000 sv%... Franson plus3... Kadri plus3 with a goal + assist).

HMMM perhaps $5M each won't be enough for these guys this summer!

Yup, things are looking awesome tonight for Leaf-haters moving forward...

Yeah, let's talk about this.

LOL at the broadcast crew going down on the Leaf audience.

Watch Kadri snap his head back at the 35 second mark.

Saaay don't they fine players for embellishment these days? :drink:

I'd say Kadri skated into Benn... more than anything else.

A collision?

Refs gave Benn and Kadri 2 minutes each for roughing.

Strange world.
