Re: 2025 Trade Deadline
With Rantanen back in the west, the Canucks management really need to evaluate their standing amongst their peers in the west because as of now and the near future we have some giants to get through to get to Lord Stanley and we certainly ain’t doing it with this mix.
Back to the drawing board.
I’d go as far as saying that Anaheim and Utah are ahead of us in the curve. I have zero faith in this organization truly understanding who this team really stacks up against. Kind of like Dylan Cozens not understanding that he can’t fight but still does.

As mentioned, he is 24. You have a history of giving up on young players. I guess this isn't a surprise.Chef Boi RD wrote: ↑Fri Mar 07, 2025 10:35 amRead reports out of Buffalo, the demise of Cozens game is being linked to the beating Hathaway gave him a year and a half ago, youtube it, it’s ugly. Cozens has never been the same since. I’d be OK with that as Hathaway can throw but seeing Cozens get knocked out by a non fighter in Kotkaniemi the other night tells me that Cozens needs to avoid fighting altogether.JelloPuddingPop wrote: ↑Fri Mar 07, 2025 10:14 amKid is 24. How is Byfield doing for you these days BD?

Will Peter go into a sulk about yeilding a spot in the salary rankings to Rantanen?

Still waiting on Byfield, as he was the 2nd overall pick. I like Quinton but at the moment I’m still taking a few players ahead of him - Sanderson, Stutzle, Raymond, Rossi, Jarvis, Guhle, Peterka, Lundell.JelloPuddingPop wrote: ↑Fri Mar 07, 2025 10:48 amAs mentioned, he is 24. A toss up between him, Holloway, Perfetti, Foerster, Neighbors, Schneider, Lafrenierre, Zary, Greig, Bourque.
It’s like Byfield is forever on the launch pad, he teases you, then disappears, weird talent. Not sure what’s holding him back, always seems to be something.

Re: 2025 Trade Deadline
He has 5 more years of team control. Necas has one. Yes he's short but I don't see him getting tossed around out there. Kid will play at 180 and apparently they have given him more reps at centre, his natural position. He's going to be a damn good player for a long time.Chef Boi RD wrote: ↑Fri Mar 07, 2025 10:45 amI like Stankoven too but Blob, but c’mon, he’s no Necas.
Get rid of Boeser and Suter.

Forgot about Suter, he should be gone today.Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Fri Mar 07, 2025 11:01 amHe has 5 more years of team control. Necas has one. Boeser, think the Canucks don't have the guts to trade him.
