Canada outplayed USA in the game they just couldn’t get the quality scoring chances. The Americans boxed out, defended their net front very well. It’s a game of inches between these two nations, mistakes will be the difference and the Americans capitalized on our mistakes. Can’t say Goaltending was the difference, no blame on Binnington. Thought Mackinnon could’ve been more beast mode. McDavid came to play.

I disagree. We didn’t lose because of goaltending. Need more guys to step up offensively other than just McDavid. We were the better team.

I didn't think the Larkin goal was on Billington at all. He was pretty adequate in there tonight I thought. I certainly feared worse.

First goal was horrendous. That's a way different game if it's 1-0 Canada after the first period.

Yaeh, we efinitely spotted them a goal tonight. Billington is capable over playing worse than this though.

Yeah. He was dialed in after that first one and played well.

My biggest criticism tonight is surprisingly on Crosby and MacKinnon. Nate is a bit of a puck hog, was last game too. Crosby made some bad reads.

McDavid had a decent game, however he passed up a few shots to force passes when he should be pulling the trigger.

Crosby had some horrific giveaways, MacKinnon was very disappointing. McDavid was Canada’s best player, he came to play.
