Good post UW.

Hoglander has been given a long leash imo. He’s needs to get back to the basics and start making an impact.

A few comments;

Recorded the game but hadn't planned on watching until I saw how close it was.

That backhand by Hughes from the slot was dirty. I don't believe I've seen him attempt it before but if that becomes part of his arsenal, he just became even more frightening to play against. So many times we see teams allow forwards to cycle through the slot as long as they are on their backhand (The WCE was notorious for harmless backhand cycling through the slot), if Hughes can get that off, watch out.

Rarely it seems (I'm sure there is tracking somewhere) does the Hronek/Hughes pairing play with the top line. Likely try to balance offense and responsible defensive play, but against the Rags it occurred occasionally and overwhelmed the Rags D.

Skating/striding Scooter is much better than knock kneed falling down Scooter. He lost his man on the winning goal.

I think Juuls has gotten a few games to shake the rust off and see if he has built on last season. Unfortunately, it seems he's plateaued. Time for Deharnais to get back in. Two games in a row we've seen Juuls turning the wrong way while checking in the crease and the puck ended up in the net. Ouch.

Branstron will end up in a heap of shit if he continues taking Quinn Hughes level risks.

yeah, CoHog, nothing to add.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

:o

I didn't realize the rules allowed that!

Good point - we need clarification.
