She had a solid lead before the Russians interfered through Assange.
And even after the Russian intervention a majority of American voters chose her to be their president.
Sadly, the outdated 19th century electorate college did not mirror the will of the voters.
Same problem in Canada. Our PM and his party, though leading a minority government, received fewer total votes than the Conservative party, yet they won more seats. Kind've a busted system.
How do they do it in Sweden Per? Do all candidates grab their swords and axes and just have a good old fashioned viking honor tournament? Last man standing in each riding gets the seat?
We don’t really have ridings. We do the proportional thing. A party that gets 15% of the vote gets 15% of the seats.
Well, sort of. We have a 4% threshold, so a party with 3% of the vote gets no seats, and thus 15% might actually give you closer to 16%, but you get the drift.
How many parties do you have?
Well, we can’t throw any parties now, on account of co.... oh wait, I get it.

But only eight in parliament.
From left to right, result in 2018 and seats in parliament:
Vänsterpartiet (V) ”the left party” 8.00% 28 (used to be communists, now socialists)
Socialdemokraterna (S) ”the social democrats” 28.26% 100 seats
Miljöpartiet (Mp) ”the environment party” 4.41% 16 (our green party)
Centerpartiet (C) ”the centre party” 8.61% 31 seats (originally ”the farmers’ union, now liberals with a rural twist)
Liberalerna (L) ”the liberals” 5.49% 20 seats
Moderaterna (M) ”the moderates” 19.84% 70 seats (call themselves moderates but is our conservative party)
Kristdemokraterna (Kd) ”the christian democrats” 6.32% 22 seats (religious conservatives - our tea party)
Sverigedemokraterna (Sd) ”the Sweden democrats” 17.53% 62 seats (far right anti immigration party founded by nazis)
Others 1.53% but no seats (biggest of these is The Feminist Initiative that gained 0.47% of the vote)
Normally the left party, social democrats and the green party stick together while the centre party, liberals, christian demodrats and moderates formed an Alliance, and these two groups have taken turns running the country.
With the Sweden Democrats entering the picture it got complicated. The other parties shun them because of their neonazi past.
After the 2018 elections, the Alliance could have formed a government if they had let in the Sweden Democrats, but the two liberal parties (centre party and liberals) refused to do this and instead switched side, abandoning their traditional conservative allies to instead back a social democratic minority government.
