The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

You do the same thing to him as you do to everyone.
Derision, name calling and complete evasion of anything that doesn't fit your version of things.
Pot/kettle... especially that last part.

I asked you to watch "every second of Griz's videos, especially the last two".

You promised that you would... but you did not.
ukcanuck wrote: There is in fact a political argument to this issue that you refuse to say anything about which should prove to anyone watching that you are not being honest
OMG those videos I referred you to were all about the politicization of the AGW discussion!

Too bad you didn't watch them!!

When you went back on your word and refused to watch them

The last time I "debated" you... I rightly wrote you off as "an antisemitic moron" (or something).

Well "burning fossil fuels until they run out" is probably the best way to postpone WWIII

... so I suppose I'm in favour of "switching over to renewable energy" asap.
You do want the second coming to hurry up and arrive!

Ah and with a simple wink you just tipped your hand.

I am a Christian though, I've stated that more than a few times in these forums.

to be honest I find people's comments and links can be good to read and get their opinions. I am not an expert on climate change but I know a bs story when I hear it. Anytime someone/anyone resorts to screaming or name calling I stop listening as they come across as uneducated or extremely biased.

Doc you and Top are smart guys, I do enjoy reading your posts. Maybe Tops is in the industry so he MAY have a biased opinion but one always needs to hear both sides of a story to make a better or more informed opinion. I know as what I work in the media ALWAYS shows only 1 side so they can sell advertising.

Pot/kettle... especially that last part.
I do admit that my time on canuckscorner has darkened my sense of humour somewhat, but I've learned from the best and really it seems to be the only language you understand.
I asked you to watch "every second of MY videos, especially the last two".

You promised that you would... but you did not.
I did watch as much of your propaganda I as could stomach

I pointed out quite clearly just one simple misdirection from the facts that Molynutt provides when he claims that Cook counted almost every paper reviewed as being for AGW while in reality there were only 41 papers directly claiming AGW.

I posted the link to Cook’s abstract where in the first few sentences he lists the number of papers that are for/against and uncommitted to AGW. thereby exposing molynutt as academically dishonest

translation- Molynutt is liar and listening to anything more from him is a waste of time.

That you cant or wont admit even this simple point makes it useless to carry on any further-

However, for the shut-ins listening at home here are more critiques of your links

http://www.skepticalscience.com/david-e ... -cold.html

https://debunkingdenialism.com/2012/06/ ... l-warming/

https://www.skepticalscience.com/David_Evans_arg.htm

https://denierlist.wordpress.com/2013/0 ... vid-evans/

https://denierlist.wordpress.com

These are just a few retorts to your second link by Dr Evans courtesy of molynut

However lets go another level deeper shall we?

Who is this Dr Evans who claims that AGW science is wrong?

Dr David Evans is a former believer in GW who upon divine revelation or reviewing of new “information” is now a reformed climate skeptic. I wonder when he had such an about face?

Could it be when he was appointed to the Board of Advisors for the Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow, a group founded to promote a "positive voice on environment and development issues?”

But what is this committee for a Constructive Tomorrow ?

The Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow (CFACT) is a Conservative Washington, D.C.-based non-profit organization, founded in 1985.

CFACT Total revenues over the past three years have averaged around $3 million, as reported on the organization's IRS Form 990[ and its most recent annual audited financial statement. In 2010, nearly half of CFACT's funding came from Donors Trust, a nonprofit donor-advised fund.

In 2011, CFACT received a $1.2 million grant from Donors Trust, 40% of CFACT's revenue that year.
CFACT does not disclose its funding sources. According to CFACT, it is mainly funded by private citizens and has never sought or received money from federal, state, or local governments.

Clearly yet another bought and paid for voice for carbon burning industries

But more to the point, your links begs the inference that AGW is not supported by the overwhelming majority of scientists

However, this little snippet uncovered while background checking your links:

climate skeptics are in fact in the extreme minority

Your man Evans with CFACT orchestrated a rival conference on the same day to the Copenhagen Summit in 2009 (The conference included the 15th Conference of the Parties (COP 15) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the 5th Meeting of the Parties (MOP 5) to the Kyoto Protocol.)

32,200 delegates attended COP15

While laughably, a grand total of 60 right-wing nuts of which 15 of those were journalists attended the rival conference -17 presenters speaking to an audience of 24 people...

By direct comparison of these two conferences alone, its apparent which side of the “debate” the scientific community is on. Trying to confuse the issue with half truths and misdirection as your links do is just obfuscation.

ukcanuck wrote: There is in fact a political argument to this issue that you refuse to say anything about which should prove to anyone watching that you are not being honest
OMG those videos I referred you to were all about the politicization of the AGW discussion!

Too bad you didn't watch them!!
Like I said I watched as much as I could stomach but seriously its like trying to read The Watchtower and Awake magazines!

A few Scientists paid by lobbyists for the oil and gas industry whose profits would be negatively affected by action against AGW. Institutions whose intentions are to eliminate government oversight and install unfettered free markets that we know from experience, only corners wealth, creates monopolies and cause economic meltdowns. Listening to youtube videos and faux newsmagazine style radio shows interviewing each other with pseudo facts, obfuscation and downright lies is barely worth the effort to pay attention for longer than maybe a minute.

but I spent considerably more than that on your links. The way I see it, you owe me an hour of my time.

… and instead launched into an ad hominem rage (remember?)
one more obfuscation hey Doc?

You intend that I am "attacking' an opponent's character rather than answering his argument.
That would work well with your tactics except your links present false evidence as facts (see links above) in such a case the credibility of Molynutt et al is a crucial factor in determining that your position is horse shit

while technically it’s an ad hominem, it is not a logical fallacy as you would sneakily intend.
... I rightly wrote you off as "a fully-indoctrinated goosestepping leftist" (or something like that).

The last time I "debated" you... I rightly wrote you off as “an antisemitic moron” (or something).

Harsh terms must be used for folks such as yourself, now run along Chicken Little…

Ah yes the obligatory name calling, accusations and an actual ad hominem logical fallacy ending.

It just wouldn't be you without it :mex:

I was born at St. Vincent's Hospital in Vancouver in late 57. A Canadian citizen.
My father served in Korea with the Canadians and had his back broken but recovered.
My grandfather served for the Canadians in both WW1 and WW2. He was no boy in WW2.
My Grandmother on Dad's side was a nurse in WW1.
On my Mother's side my American Grandfather was killed in WW2.
My Grandmother worked as a maid in the U.S. then Canada.
Four of my eight Great Grand parents were born in North America, the others in England, Scotland and Ireland.
I have spent no less than 11 of my 58 years in the U.S. and have at some point visited almost all major cities.
In the late 70s and early 80s I was playing hockey in the U.S.
From 1990 to 1996 I served with both the American and Canadian militaries as a private contractor training them in Air to Air and Air to Ground Photography as aviation photography is what I did.
I've heard many, many points of view and have seen a great deal.
For the record, I am more of a science guy than a religious one and I hate war as much as anyone else but I understand it, do you?
I understand that politics can seem extremist and over passionate, do you?
Understand your adversary in debate before you put your foot in your mouth, again.
By the way, I'll yank it out for you, if you think that's safe.
You are not qualified to advise me on anything, little-big man.
