Tuna must think he lives at an airport, what with all the whooshing over his head.
But then we don't post this stuff for him, we post it for all the SANE folks out there in cyberland.

And he came back after a win so it is expected.

Apparently Matthews wants a short term 5 year max contract. Which means he will be playing in Arizona when he is 27, around the time Tavares will be living in the muskokas retired
The Leaf cup dream is a short 5 year window

Will Arizona have a team?
And you can spin this as you want, but you expected a max offersheet in July and Matthews would be a coyotee in October. Not sure why, that team is sooo broke.
But only 5-6 years is still great news, right?

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
The 5 year starts now
In 5 years - Tavares retired
In 5 years - Matthews wearing a Coyote jersey
Coyotes will never leave as long as Bettmen and his old school henchmen are still around
Enjoy the next 5 years, Tuna. I remember when we drafted Horvat 5 years ago. Time flies Big Tina
If they do manage to sign Marner and Matthews - the leaves cap will be fucked for the next 5 years. They better hope Nylander was worth it. Not looking good right now

I love how Sportsnet is trying to spin it like it's better for the Leaves that he'll only sign for 5 years.
But you really can't blame Matthews for wanting out. Shitty fans booing their own players/wearing paper bags/throwing jerseys on the ice, shitty city, and Nylander now the cornerstone of the franchise

And the cornerstone needs the best players to try and "kick-start" his arid production.ESQ wrote: ↑Sat Jan 26, 2019 11:37 am I love how Sportsnet is trying to spin it like it's better for the Leaves that he'll only sign for 5 years.

Yes, thanks to revenue sharing!
Kinda ironic how Leaves will be paying bigly towards Matthews' contract when he's playing for the coyotes!

They lost 50 million with revenue sharing just last season alone..Strangelove wrote: ↑Sat Jan 26, 2019 2:26 pmYes, thanks to revenue sharing!

Do you not find it sad you are celebrating the leaves only having 5 years?RoyalDude wrote: ↑Sat Jan 26, 2019 10:59 amThe 5 year starts now

Tina, you spend a lot of time banking on the Coyotes leaving Arizona. It’s OK, we get your concerns of Matthews playing in Arizona in 5 years when he will be just 27BigTuna wrote: ↑Sun Jan 27, 2019 7:06 amThey lost 50 million with revenue sharing just last season alone..Strangelove wrote: ↑Sat Jan 26, 2019 2:26 pmYes, thanks to revenue sharing!

Figures I would since the commissioner is meeting with a Bilionaire to discuss moving the team to Houston.RoyalDude wrote: ↑Sun Jan 27, 2019 7:36 amTina, you spend a lot of time banking on the Coyotes leaving Arizona.
