Eh, Edmonton already hurt the entire league with their massive deals to their young players. leaves are being very responsible with this.RoyalDude wrote: ↑Fri Nov 16, 2018 7:26 pm Nobody is in a rush to acquire Nylander because of his idiotic contract demands. Arizona should get him, so they got a buddy for Matthews when they get him in 5 years.RoyalDude wrote: ↑Fri Nov 16, 2018 7:26 pm Nobody is in a rush to acquire Nylander because of his idiotic contract demands. You know damn well Matthews is going to pull a Tavares and go homeESQ wrote: ↑Sat Nov 17, 2018 3:19 pmArizona should get him, so they got a buddy for Matthews when they get him in 5 years.RoyalDude wrote: ↑Fri Nov 16, 2018 7:26 pm Nobody is in a rush to acquire Nylander because of his idiotic contract demands. Arizona better be a cup contender by then because Tavares would have not even met with the leaves if they had Arizona's record.RoyalDude wrote: ↑Sat Nov 17, 2018 4:34 pmYou know damn well Matthews is going to pull a Tavares and go homeESQ wrote: ↑Sat Nov 17, 2018 3:19 pmArizona should get him, so they got a buddy for Matthews when they get him in 5 years.RoyalDude wrote: ↑Fri Nov 16, 2018 7:26 pm Nobody is in a rush to acquire Nylander because of his idiotic contract demands. Arizona is a .500 team right now.BigTuna wrote: ↑Sat Nov 17, 2018 5:41 pmArizona better be a cup contender by then because Tavares would have not even met with the Leaves if they had Arizona's record.RoyalDude wrote: ↑Sat Nov 17, 2018 4:34 pmYou know damn well Matthews is going to pull a Tavares and go homeESQ wrote: ↑Sat Nov 17, 2018 3:19 pmArizona should get him, so they got a buddy for Matthews when they get him in 5 years.RoyalDude wrote: ↑Fri Nov 16, 2018 7:26 pm Nobody is in a rush to acquire Nylander because of his idiotic contract demands. Arizona likely won't be there when Matthews is UFA.Mëds wrote: ↑Sun Nov 18, 2018 9:43 amArizona is a .500 team right now.BigTuna wrote: ↑Sat Nov 17, 2018 5:41 pmArizona better be a cup contender by then because Tavares would have not even met with the Leaves if they had Arizona's record.RoyalDude wrote: ↑Sat Nov 17, 2018 4:34 pmYou know damn well Matthews is going to pull a Tavares and go homeESQ wrote: ↑Sat Nov 17, 2018 3:19 pmArizona should get him, so they got a buddy for Matthews when they get him in 5 years.RoyalDude wrote: ↑Fri Nov 16, 2018 7:26 pm Nobody is in a rush to acquire Nylander because of his idiotic contract demands. Some of their younger players are actually starting to make a bit of noise. Toronto has gone from being a perennial bottom 10 team to a labeled Cup contender in just 3 seasons. There is no reason that Arizona can't do the same thing.
While Toronto has drafted well over the last 4 years, if Chayka can pull his head out of his ass and quit going off the board, into Mike Gillis territory, (just for you RD) with his picks, the Coyotes could be a team that go from playoff probable to possible contender with the addition of just Matthews.
I'm not saying it's gonna happen, but you're fooling yourself if you think that just because he gave JT his word, or just because the COTU has a team that looks like a deep playoff team on paper, means that an elite player would rather stay there than go home and play hockey for millions of dollars in a city where he has family and friends AND where he doesn't have to drive to work every day dealing with ice storms, blizzards, freezing rain, and all the other wonders that come with living along the Great Lakes from November to April.....you know 71% of his working season.
Wipe the sweat from your forehead, Tuna. Life will go in Toronto, without Matthews. Every team goes through this, the Islanders just experienced it with Tavares. The sooner you accept that Mathews will - make damn surer his next contract that will take him to UFA, that he will be mid to late twenties like Tavares. He wants to play back home. The Coyotes are not moving and every team plays by the same cap rules. Don’t be so greedy, you have at least 6 more years of Matthews, 8 max.BigTuna wrote: ↑Sun Nov 18, 2018 5:38 pmArizona likely won't be there when Matthews is UFA.Mëds wrote: ↑Sun Nov 18, 2018 9:43 amArizona is a .500 team right now.BigTuna wrote: ↑Sat Nov 17, 2018 5:41 pmArizona better be a cup contender by then because Tavares would have not even met with the Leaves if they had Arizona's record.RoyalDude wrote: ↑Sat Nov 17, 2018 4:34 pmYou know damn well Matthews is going to pull a Tavares and go homeESQ wrote: ↑Sat Nov 17, 2018 3:19 pmArizona should get him, so they got a buddy for Matthews when they get him in 5 years.RoyalDude wrote: ↑Fri Nov 16, 2018 7:26 pm Nobody is in a rush to acquire Nylander because of his idiotic contract demands. Good luck doing what Toronto did. Toronto has the highest operational budget in the NHL. Arizona is dead-last. There is no SHanahan, Babcock ready to go there.
