Yes, and we have 26 players on the roster, so 3
have to go (to Utica or elsewhere).

Does anybody know if we put roussel on ltir, and Hughes and petey hit their bonuses, can that ltir savings go to their bonuses?

If we had a player on LTIR for the entire year their bonuses would be attached to the next year's cap.
But once a player comes off LTIR... and there's some cap space... that cap space can end up covering bonuses.
Having said that, I strongly doubt we'll be using LTIR on Roussel, no need.

So many Tyson Barrie rumours to Vancouver near the draft.
Did Tyson Barrie think — on draft night — that he was getting traded to Vancouver?
“I did,” he said on a podcast taping. “I think everyone thought it was close to happening, and I’d heard that it was.
It didn’t happen, so I thought maybe I was sticking around in Colorado…. Clearly not.”
He was laughing as he said the last part.
But Sakic saw an opportunity to snag Kadri away a solid #2C. In any case if the Canucks clear some cap they could sign Barrie July 1st, 2020.
But who knows maybe Stecher shines this season, in either case I'm excited to watch this team frfr.

1st Round pick
- Recoup that 1st rounder lost in the Jimothy Timothy Miller deal. They need a new Tanev there and we instantly shed some cap space as well.

They need depth as well...
Sautner and Eliot for 4th and 6th.
Keep Tanev... unless it's a fleecing like Tanev AND Sautner for 1st and 3rd

No don’t trade Tanev, I like our D group. Plus I don’t think Benning is all that interested in trading Tanev at this point
The Jets have given away a lot of draft picked lately with the bucks they have to fork out to Laine and Connor they need good cheap young entry level contracts coming in to support the big buck players. If I’m the Jets I’m trying to move Mason Ehlers for a defenceman

If im chevy I'm trading Laine's rights for a right side D. Maybe kick the tires on risto and/or faulk.
Laine is waaaay too flaky

I like Tan-mans game but he really is made of glass. Hes like SLJ in Unbreakable... He goes UFA next summer i think so lets move him out and max the return. He gets replaced by Barrie next summer anyway

I’d take Barry for Myers aav and term, I don’t think he’s worth the 8 million he wants.

He might not be worth 8 but he will likely get it.
You aren’t getting him for Myers contract. He’s a better player.
