The jersey throw did not kick anything off. It's 1 person. That's not related to the fuss over not saluting. They threw waffles 3 years ago.
The leaves are the only team that is in a playoff spot, yet deemed "Horrible". They are seen as the same as Edmonton, Carlolina. Buffalo. The only issue is they are a playoff team, not a bottom feeder. They currently have the 3rd most goals scored in the NHL.

Speaking of Toronto media, I read ANOTHER story about the leaves on TSN and just to see what happens I post something like ' I would be interested to see a statistical breakdown of how many Leaf stories there are as compared to other Canadian teams. Also why show all the warts on Toronto when other Canadian teams are doing so well eh?' You guessed it. Not posted by the moderator.
Playing in Toronto must be a nightmare. It is a great town to live in but the focus on the team comes from a city twice the size of Vancouver and they do not pay much attention to Jays or Argos in comparison. A rookie coming in to town is probably cynical about the media by the end of their first year, and if not soon after.
Look what they did to Reimer who is a decent dude and who is competent most of the time ( I am not killing with faint praise. He is no Roy or Johnny Bower). He was proclaimed Messiah the first year and his second year they cut him open and plopped his guts out on the sidewalk for everyone to see. Now they are doing the same to Bernier. The media in Van is bad and Gallagher should go but it is not the level of T.O.
