He'll ask for a trade to Arizona by the end of the week. He wants to join a team that can't score a goal.

No, actually he wants a team with a real NHL defence and goaltending.BigTuna wrote: ↑Sun Oct 07, 2018 8:56 pmHe'll ask for a trade to Arizona by the end of the week. He wants to join a team that can't score a goal.
Well, if he’s going to waste his career on a team not built to win a Cup, he may as well waste it on a club closer to home with lower taxes and better winter weather.BigTuna wrote: ↑Sun Oct 07, 2018 8:56 pmHe'll ask for a trade to Arizona by the end of the week. Next year? Or is it the year after? He wants McDavid money, and I doubt he’ll take any less.
Yep, and I imagine this factors into Nylander’s agent’s deliberations as well. Can’t get any form of trade protection until eligible for UFA, so chances are someone is leaving party island. Leaf Management pressing the need to “take less for the team” is a bit of a joke in that regard.Richardstroker69 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 07, 2018 9:17 pm

I think Tavares set the low bar for Matthews. I suspect he’ll wind up between 11-12.5M. If Marner keeps producing, he’ll be in that $6.5-$8.5M bridge range (depending on length). I don’t know how you’ll get a competitive team under an $80M payroll when you’re pushing $40M on 4 or 5 forwards. The crunch begins as soon as next season (with Marleau and his NMC still on the books).
And there it is....BigTuna wrote: ↑Mon Oct 08, 2018 7:43 amYou mean like the last 3 cup winners? Actually, the kind of shit necessary to create that kind of mental state will never get legalized. Dude, you need help. There are clinics waiting for you to call.
