I don't normally cheer for Marshrat, but I did for that goal.

Gotta respect a 5-0 game 7 record for Marshrat vs leaves.
Not bad.

Poor goaltending again. leaves will blame it on the Bennet elbow to Stolarz. You gotta think major changes to their core now.
The only HW the Canucks need

Sure ya don't Kev!

Such a sad, pathetic group right there.

Was Kelly actually crying?

Sure. But their core is Matthews, Tavares, Nylander, Marner, and Reilly.Hockey Widow wrote: ↑Sun May 18, 2025 7:43 pm Poor goaltending again. leaves will blame it on the Bennet elbow to Stolarz. You gotta think major changes to their core now.
2 of those guys are UFA in 6 weeks. The other two have NMC's.
Tanev and OEL are fringe core guys. Both just joined the Leaves this year and also have NMC's.
The only changes they can easily make to that group are to let Tavares and Marner walk.....for nothing.
I would bet that Matthews would waive for the right US destination, but how much stupider would the organization look if they basically stripped Tavares of the captaincy, gave it to Matthews, and then traded their new captain 12 months later while watching the other guy also walk.
Their ownership likely looks to replace Shanahan now (they should), so does the new guy get here in time to at least beg Marner and Tavares to accept a trade and sign in order to at least recoup a draft pick? That's what they are down to, grovelling with their players.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..
