Biech talks about the promising Canucks prospects and the awards and recognition's they are winning/receiving.
Canucks prospects have been named a bunch of things… in the good way.

The regular season in the NHL is starting to wind down but some of the various junior leagues are already into their playoffs.

That means that we are starting to see a lot of year-end awards being handed out and Canucks prospects have been showing up quite regularly.

In case you missed any of them, here’s a quick crash course on what has happened thus far.

He’s not even the best d man on his own junior team.
He isn't? Well his pretty damned close, and definitely the best 19 year old dman on his team, by a longshot.

He can't play in the AHL Blob.

Oh well, hell. This Sept. we'll get to see US College vs CHL on ice. Gonna be a fun camp.
Surprises abounding.
Not to mention the new guy. (Van, Jun. 2019)

Too bad the conference was so bad that the thought of making the playoffs impacted the right long term decisions to be made.
That's one hell of an excellent point, right there, Reef.

From Carol Schram:

Frozen Four

Tyler Madden's No. 2 seeded Northeastern will take on No. 3 Cornell in the East Regional bracket on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in Providence, Rhode Island.

In the Northeast Regional, Jack Rathbone's No. 4 Harvard will face No. 1 UMass on Friday at noon PT in Manchester, New Hampshire.

It looks like both those games will be available to subscribers on TSN.ca.

So he can play the rest of this season but not next season?

I dunno. It may be that if he plays in Utica they are committed to him playing in the NHL next year.

I think Woo can sign an ATO with Utica for playoffs and it doesn't count as a year of his ELC. Next season he would only have the options of 9 NHL games then back to junior, or the NHL all year and no AHL until the playoffs (but he'd be with the Canucks on their lengthy run anyways :P )

Why can’t Woo play in the AHL next season?
