The honeymoon is over on the Miller trade. Let’s call a spade a spade, the trade has been, will be…a colossal failure of massive proportions.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Mon Jun 23, 2025 4:29 pm Victor Mancini is having an awful Calder Cup final, just to let everyone know. He just coughed it up under pressure for the first goal of the game tonight. He is absolutely torching his value in this series.
Kudryavtsev, meanwhile, has been maybe their best defenseman in the series. They have essentially swapped spots in the pecking order.

Might be time to pull the geezer's trade license eh, Chef. He has stickhandled the franchise into a corner without a clear exit strategy.Chef Boi RD wrote: ↑Mon Jun 23, 2025 4:42 pmThe honeymoon is over on the Miller trade. I was worried about the Rutherford hire. He’s long overdue for the retirement home. These old school bro’s stuck in their old school ways. Give the Keys to Allvin, ffs.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Mon Jun 23, 2025 4:47 pmMight be time to pull the geezer's trade license eh, Chef. I’d have no problem with Rossi if we weren’t filled with five niners already. I keep hearing they really want to resign Gnarls. I love gnarly Gnarland but maybe they should trade him while his stock is high, then make a move for Rossi.Mëds wrote: ↑Fri Jun 20, 2025 4:56 pmAnyone looking at Rossi would be well served to remember that he has racked up a bunch of his points playing with Kaprizov.Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Thu Jun 19, 2025 11:21 pmDude has never seen him play.Cousin Strawberry wrote: ↑Thu Jun 19, 2025 5:26 pmHe's not exactly soft. But if the goal is to become the softest team in the league then by all means.

This kid is only 23. If he's dangling on the wind we need our baldo's closing this deal. The kid is a star
Rossi seems to be a quick and shifty player, in the same vein as Garland but, imho, stronger on the puck and with a better shot. But can he drive a line as “the guy”?
Re: Canucks News N Notes 24-25
You can have 2 Garland's in your forward corps.....it's just highly unlikely that you will be successful if you exceed that number. We would have to jettison some players if we acquire Rossi. Notably, Hoglander.Chef Boi RD wrote: ↑Mon Jun 23, 2025 4:57 pmI’d have no problem with Rossi if we weren’t filled with five niners already. I keep hearing they really want to resign Gnarls. But really, we only have 4 players under 6 feet on our Roster.....
Garland - 5'10"
Suter - 5'11"
Hoglander - 5'9"
Hughes - 5'10"
Height is not a problem. The problem is that we only have top-12/top-6 players who weigh 200+ pounds. That includes the departing Boeser and the fragile Chytil.
So if we acquire Rossi for picks and prospects.....
DeBrusk - Pettersson - ______
______ - Rossi - Garland
Joshua - Chytil - Hoglander
O'Connor - Blueger - Sherwood
That lineup isn't scaring anyone.
DeBrusk isn't a pussy, but he's hardly a power foward. He also is not a 1st line player.
Pettersson is definitely a perimeter player who gets knocked around easily.
Rossi is short and stocky, but who plays with him that boasts any size and chutzpah?
Joshua needs to re-find his 2023-24 game.
Chytil is a heavy champagne flute.
Hoglander doesn't belong on a 3rd line. He is either a top-6 forward or he's traded.
The 4th line would be decent in a grinding, dump and chase, ground and pound, role. But nobody is intimidated by them.

It’s a shameful forward grouping, Mëds. I have no words .
