Meh. I don't think he is or will be a star. But given the Canucks predicament, he might be the best option. Short yes, soft no.
Unfortunately Canucks already have a few talented,undersized players with grit and heart. If the goal is to build a successful team, they need size.
I expect a Rossi deal shortly.

If we are going to land a good young player we are going to have to add something we don’t want to add to the 2025 1st round pick.
