Chiarelli fired. Boston starts to clean up.
Not sure if I am surprised by this one. For several years a lot of people were saying that Benning was the real genius behind the Bruins player management and drafting. Wonder if Boston regrets not doing this a year ago and promoting Benning at that time. If the Bruins failed to make the playoffs last year wonder who our GM would be.
Shows how hard it is to keep a contender together with the cap and how easily cap hell can sink you. Chara on his last legs, not much in the system, an over played goalie and cap hell. Boston will have to do more than just Fire Chiarelli.

Shows you how crazy Detroit's streak is.

It's gonna be interesting to see where Ovechkin finishes in goals for his career. Another guy who missed a year and a half to the lockouts as well.
He takes so much flack from fans but he is quite simply one of the VERY greatest goal scorers in NHL history.

Maybe slightly, but that's the least of their concerns. Only one goaltender in the entire league faced more shots. They played Rask into the fucking ground this season, and that's the bigger problem.

My guess is Julien could be next, but they'll get a new GM in there and let him decide. Neely probably isn't too pleased that the Bruins are becoming quite soft to play against. Cam should probably tell Lucic to un-tuck and get back to being a $6M menace if he wants "Bruins hockey".

If I was looking for a coach and Julien was available, I'd hire his retarded fat ass in a second.

Chiarelli could end up back in Ottawa. Murray has been wanting to stand down for a couple of seasons and now with his battles with cancer he may be ready to let go of the GM's job. Chiarelli was widely seen as a key member of the staff that helped build Ottawa.
There could be some decent GMs and coaches available this year.

I'm not sure why Wilson keeps his job. He seems to do just enough to convince everyone that someone else needs to go.

Now it looks like "no decision has been made".
It's really nice all the dysfunction is happening in other (San Jose, Toronto) organizations these days.
As for Thornton, at what point does the guy just shut his fucking mouth? Like really, calling out the GM, and now the coach... what exactly has Joe Thornton accomplished for the San Jose Sharks that allows him to be the big mouthpiece? Maybe if he played with the same intensity that he spews in interviews they would be a playoff team.

I can see him getting the Kevin Lowe "promotion" pretty quick.
Speaking of Kevin Lowe, is there a higher position they can "promote" him to? I think MacT could really use a bump. How sad must it be for Oilers fans to watch Boston axe their GM only 4 years removed from a Stanley Cup, 2 seasons from a Finals appearance, and 1 season from a Presidents trophy... while the Oil management team continues to "develop" young talent.

Berube fired.
Julien could be next as rumour has it Neely wanted him gone earlier in the year and Chiarelli said no.
Leaves ask for and get permission to speak to Burke as new GM. Sean Burke that is.
