Kadri couldn't control himself so they are dead.
It seems to me, the league seems to think what Marchant does out there, has an entertainment value to it.
I say this because in his case, the suspensions are few and far between now.
When he was just simply a dirty player, he was disciplined like everyone else but the last couple of years, he has taken acting lessons or something and added elan, or his version of it, and it appears to be getting gulped up for ratings.

I thought a rebuild was simply turning over the roster and adding to the prospect pool?

If the rebuild isn't done in Toronto, then Jimbo's looking at least a 7-8 year process here.

It is a 7-10 year process. They are three years in, instead of five. Some of us wanted the rebuild starting in 2013. A few others enjoyed the radically flukey season and the six playoff games which culminated in a skullfucking by the Flames in 2015. Short sighted McDonald’s workers seeking instant gratification.

Trust me Pot, the dreaded R-word (Rebuild) is closer than you think

Yes because teams have to be torn apart, stripped down and rebuilt....it's the only way.

The Sedins have one year left on their contracts after this season and if for some reason they decide not to re-sign...it's a full on rebuild for us.

Hmmmmmm so if the twins don't re-sign the team doesn't get to spend the 12.2 million they would save on those contracts. That's interesting, must be a new rule. Full on rebuild straight ahead I guess.

It's time for a partial rebuild but not a complete teardown.

No idea what your point about a five year rebuild is regarding. I am advocating bringing in a good young impact player who can help the team now. Guys like Schwartz, Couturier, Tarasenko, Etem, Silfverberg are what I'm talking about. This team needs to get younger, quicker and better but it doesn't have to be a total tear down of the roster . I am against dealing Kesler for draft picks but people have to realize he is one of the few players on this team that could get good value and speed up the mini rebuild this team needs moving forward.Burrows and Luongo have little to no value.

Vancouver does need to do a mini rebuild for sure. Not a complete overhaul but they do have to touch a couple of core pieces between now and October. They are not in as dire of a situation as Toronto was or Calgary or Edmonton as they have a lot more depth and talent than any of those teams did when they went into their downward spirals.

I just hope Eye Bags is the right guy to give this team a facelift.

For the record I would like Eye Bags to move a few pieces of the teams core to speed up a minor rebuild but I am not in favor of a tear down Oilers style.
