BigTuna wrote: Fri Mar 30, 2018 7:04 pm But is Laine better than Marner?

2017-18:

Marner: 78GP, 69 PTS, .884 PPG
Laine: 77GP, 68 PTS, .883 PPG
Marner: 23 goals, .28 GPG
Laine: 43 goals, .56 GPG

Marner: 6'0" 170 lbs
Laine: 6'5" 206 lbs

Only a Leaves fan would choose Marner over Laine...
In 2018 size means less than ever. It's about speed and skill.
Size and reach still matter... they always will.

Goals matter too. :scowl:
BigTuna wrote: Sat Mar 31, 2018 6:01 am And leave Andersen alone. You've been wrong about him every step of the way. He's a top 10 NHl goalie.
I've been spot on about Mr Andersen.

Andersen with Ducks: 125 games, .918 save percentage (playoffs .915)
Andersen with Leaves: 130 games, .918 (playoffs .915)
Andersen Career: 255 games, .918 (playoffs .915)

Those are very average numbers.

"top 10"

I said he's average at best in the long run, and tends to play worse in big games (down the stretch and in the playoffs).

His save percentage over the past 3 seasons is the same as that of Reimer... whom you despise.

And how well is he playing down the stretch right now?

Glad you asked... he has a .898 save percentage over his last 12 games.

Not sure why you are so in love with this guy.
BigTuna wrote: Sat Mar 31, 2018 6:01 am And LOL at lying about never saying the leaves won't have cap problems next year.
Find a single post... I'll wait. :hmmm:

OBVIOUSLY there will be no problems until the Matthews and Marner contracts kick in, you're a waste of cyberspace...

Mitch Marner:
78 GP, 69 PTS, 0.90 PPG, 16:20 TOI
Brock Boeser: .47 Goals Per Game

Mitch Marner: .28 Goals Per Game

Are you stupid Forest? :eh:
BigTuna wrote: Sat Mar 31, 2018 6:56 am Not the best situation in the NHl you say?
Far from it.
BigTuna wrote: Sat Mar 31, 2018 6:56 am Oh, BTW, Travis Dermott is 21 and +17 and becoming a great top 4 D.
The guy has played 36 NHL games, averaging just 16 minutes per night!

Also I hear his bones break easily. :mex:

BigTuna wrote: Sat Mar 31, 2018 6:20 am Another thing you were wrong about is Morgan Rielly. A true #1 Dman with 50 points and incredibly tough QOC usage. A true #1 Dman.
Lol Rielly is not a #1 dman no matter how many times you say it, also he was horrible tonight...

And I told you it was just a matter of time until Mr Andersen went into one of his slumps. :mex:
All of our differences of opinion aside Doc, I wish you could predict the Canucks as accurately as you do the Leaves.
When have my Canucks predictions ever been inaccurate? :eh:

I believe your initial predictions prior to Willie the Moustache taking the reigns were that we would be contending for playoffs 4-5 years out.

This was year 4.

But hey, try to focus on 2-3 years from now. :P

Canucks give up a three goal lead late in the third.

Win in OT.

Tuner-less summer... 8-)

I'm no fan of that little shit Wingels, but cheap-shotting punk Kadri shouldn't get less than 2 games.

Lookit that jump by Nazem. He can almost touch the rim.
