Rinni out 3-5 weeks, will miss All Star game too. Hope Nashville has good back up, good enough to see them stay on top.

In five weeks they could be outside looking in if that's the case. Of course the All Star break helps games played wise.

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

Carcillo crosschecked Perreault right out of the game tonight. Great signing by the Jets and I think this has to hurt their playoff chances if his arm is in fact broken.

That had to hurt. He should get at least five for that but ten would send a stronger message.

NHL's Department of Player Safety took a look at Daniel Carcillo's hit on Jets' Mathieu Perrault but no punishment at this time. #Blackhawks

From TheScore app(sorry can't link...too technologically advanced for me):
The Colorado Avalanche may be preparing to part ways with Ryan O'Reilly.
The club is reportedly assessing the trade market for the talented, two-way center in a quest to add help on the blue line. The Toronto Maple leaves and Buffalo Sabres are two teams that are showing interest, according to Nick Kypreos of Sportsnet.
Please make it the leaves...he sucks enough to perpetuate their suckiness for another generation

Buffalo has come back down to reality, they can easily finish in the bottom 2 for either Connor or JackUncle dans leg wrote:From TheScore app(sorry can't link...too technologically advanced for me):

Myers for O'Reilly
Add him to Connor/Jack, Reinhart and Coho and that team is set at centre for the foreseeable future.

Carcillo has been offered an in person hearing.Island Nucklehead wrote:If that's not a couple games I'm not sure what is...Benjo wrote:NHL's Department of Player Safety took a look at Daniel Carcillo's hit on Jets' Mathieu Perrault but no punishment at this time. #Blackhawks

So what's that? At least 5? I'd say he deserves 8. Last time he got 10 (reduced to 6 on appeal).Topper wrote:Carcillo has been offered an in person hearing.Island Nucklehead wrote:If that's not a couple games I'm not sure what is...Benjo wrote:NHL's Department of Player Safety took a look at Daniel Carcillo's hit on Jets' Mathieu Perrault but no punishment at this time. #Blackhawks

He's been suspended 7 times for a total of 23 games. At what point does the league just say, "15 games" every time a Carcillo video comes across the desk?
Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
I think the punishment will be very much dictated by the severity of the injury.
If his arm is broken, or there is serious injury to soft-tissue they will probably hit Carcillo with 10+ games.
Intent was likely not to cause that kind of injury, but if you're doing that kind of damage, then the level of viciousness is incredibly high. At some point the NHL has to step in and start hammering these guys for stick infractions like this with at least the same level of lip service they give to head shots.
It makes no sense, throw a "legal" body check and unintentionally make contact with the head and you could get 5 games. Assault another person with a weapon and 2 minutes in the box.....hopefully much more in this case.
