Ima gunna stick with my narrative of Nucks identifying the problem months ago.
And that problem was one JT Miller.
Okay, they knew they were going to get lowballed trying to trade him as is
... so they concocted a story about JT and Petey being equally to blame: "They just can't get along."
"We don't care which one of them goes."
Then they start working the phones on Petey as a smokescreen (they were never going to trade him).
This increased the Miller offers, taking them from horrible to bare minimum.
I know past teammates have said JT was fine in the room.
Well you can probably find guys saying the same about Sean Avery.
(I'm exaggerating to make a point)
Or what if JT was once fine, but has been slipping further and further over the edge over time.
Like Marlon Brando in Apocalypse Now.
What if, during that 10 game mental health leave, he was drawing cute faces on melons and placing them on sharpened sticks.
(with itty-bitty blonde wigs)
Yeah, that's it, he went mad (hey have you seen the pics of him in dresses?)
... and the baldies did a great job of unloading him.
Perhaps twas Petey wut drove him mad.
Just look around this forum, Petey is driving all kinds of posters mad!
Petey is Clouseau and JT is Dreyfus
... and by the end of that franchise, which one would you keep?
