According to the medical director of the company I work for we should expect to see revolving phases of locking down and reopening over the next 1 to 3 years until a vaccine is developed.....this was as of this morning.

I'm not exactly holding out a ton of hope for this thing to go away quickly. I'll be pretty surprised if we see NHL playoffs this summer.
I agree with your last sentence.

But I'll go with Dr Fauci over your director, no offence...
None taken, he wasn't sharing his opinion, he was sharing information from one of the panels he sits on here in Canada that is dealing with Covid stuff.

I wouldn't go with Fauci on anything, no offence.....
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

Oh I saw this but I think you are wrong, I guess we will find out in the next 6 months who is correct.
I gave compelling reasons for what I think.

Can you give any reasons for what you think?

Any at all?

Can you disprove any of the compelling reasons I gave?

Any at all?

I didn't think so!

Yes, well those panels must be prepared for every contingency.

And none taken...

I will use common sense and listen to the experts vs. listening to someone who just say what ever their master thinks they should say.
So I quote one of the top infectious disease experts in the world

... and you dismiss it out of hand due to your politics + conspiracy-theory brainwashing?

"I listen to the experts" - Reefer2

"Common sense" is telling you there will be a "48 to 60ish schedule next yr" or "3-4 hub cities"? :wow:

Yeahno bro, you're neither in touch with reality nor sensible...

Reefer2 wrote: Wed Jun 24, 2020 3:09 pm Even if there is a vaccine available by the end the year, which is very low probability, they still need to have the vaccine available for several hundred million people which will take more than a week to get done.
Yeahno, that's what Dr Fauci is talking about: A vaccine available for hundreds of millions of people by the end of the year.
Care to put money where your mouth is?

$100.00 that by Dec 31st 200 million people are not vaccinated against COVID19?

No I didnt think so.

Doc the last of the great debaters.

Yikes Reef just coiled one on Doc’s old hairy, floppy hooters. What do they call that? A Peanut Buster Hairpie?

It's pure naivete on Reef's part. I mean how inexperienced is he to challenge Doc to a bet where he doesn't fully specify the deadline like that.

I mean, when 200 million people aren't vaccinated against Covid on Dec 31, it clearly implies that the date in question was Dec 31st of 2022.....right?

That's funny Mëds.

But do you know what's not funny? :hmmm:

It's the fact that the morons of the world are trying to end all rational debate in favour of betting on gut-hunches.

And to a lesser extent, end rational debate in favour of arson, looting, occupying, assaulting, murdering, pulling down statues, etc.

So that's what a 5th place Norris Trophy finish and just missing the 2nd All Star team in one year gets you.
That's pretty pathetic.
