He's right about one thing. Whatever you think will happen next year expect the complete opposite. That's how it's gone down the past two years anyway.

I do appreciate his candor.

Just outright saying that Vancouver is not on the top of many players' lists when having to compete with the US.....it's not like most of us don't realize this of course, but just the fact that he will just come out and say it is appreciated.

Agreed....his struggles had me thinking of neurotic Lu as well.

He is totally Lu reincarnated, difference being no Vezinas for Lu.

Hellebuyck is the 3rd highest paid goaltender in the league behind Bobrovsky and Vasilevskiy (4th after Shesterkin's boat anchor sinks the Rags next year). Winnipeg paid a premium to get him to stick around.

Scheifle is Canadian. Rutherford wasn't talking about Canadians signing in Canada.
