LOL.
What a "strange" thread.
You're right, sorry, I'll take part of the blame for this thread straying off topic....
The problem is that there is a LOT of confusion out there regarding the
Concave Hollow Earth Hypothesis!
In fact
most folks around the net can't seem to grasp the concept, almost always cofusing it with the
other hollow Earth theory. Unbelievably, folks constantly quote the pioneers/major-contributors (Cyrus Teed, Mostafa Abdelkaderof, Martin Gardner) of the
Concave theory when clearly referring to the
other theory! The two theories have absolutely NOTHING to do with each other (one theory is simply saying the Earth exists the way you've been taught to understand it + massive open space within; the other says basically what lies beyond the stars in the night when one looks upwards from the Fraser Valley is.... China!
The
other theory says there are TWO Earth surfaces, the OUTSIDE of the ball we walk around on... and the INSIDE of the ball where wotever creatures walk around (those creatures look "up" in the direction of the centre of planet Earth, where some suggest a MUCH small central sun exists btw).
In contrast, the
Concave theory says there is only ONE surface, the one we walk around on. HOWEVER we walk around on the INSIDE of the ball (sun, moon, planets, stars are all in the middle of the ball). The fact that light bends plays a huge role in this theory.
So let's look at this again:
See how the sun moves around in a circle parallel to the surface of Earth?
Now what I've been asking is this. When there is an earthquake in Italy, seismic readings of that event can be picked up in New Zealand (are you looking at the picture?). I'm wondering why... or how, if you will... in conjunction with this theory. I'm wondering... say... how deep we could dig into the earth (if the capability do so beyond a few miles existed). Could you dig for billions of miles? Would it be endless?
My initial research (I haven't had much time, mind you) is going nowhere. As I said, the two theories are confused constantly, with very little understanding of the
Concave Hollow Earth Hypothesis out there. Seriously, the level of confusion is mind-boggling! It doesn't help that Wikipedia presents both theories on the same "Hollow Earth" page!
All this with the
other theory being mostly conjecture, and the
Concave theory being
empirically irrefutable!
