Stringing some losses together on this long homestand will be important for Mr Aquilini to experience.
Hughes, Tocchet, Miller, and Horvat are all a bunch of quitters

Bains looks like a beer leaguer out there.
Is there no younger player in the system they can slot in there for development purposes.
Bains should be winning Calder Cups. Not playing in the show.

I think Bainser is sort of an organizational favourite, JPP.JelloPuddingPop wrote: ↑Sat Jan 17, 2026 7:41 pm Bains looks like a beer leaguer out there.

Yeah, the cupboards are so bare that we get to watch AHLers like Bains and Raty struggling at this level. But there seems to be some method to this madness.
“I don’t mind it being ugly this year, because getting that high [draft] pick is important,” Rutherford told The Globe and Mail.
Seems like reality has smacked mgmt in the face and they are helping Footer make some head-scratching decisions. The main one being Kampf playing more even strength minutes than any other center for quite a few games now.

I like to think that beer leaguers like you and me look pretty good out there

Have to admit, I think that is a good goal. Think Lazar made enough of an effort to ‘try’ to avoid contact.

The more Baisers this year, the merrier. I wish we had had five more of them.Carl Yagro wrote: ↑Sat Jan 17, 2026 7:50 pm Yeah, the cupboards are so bare that we get to watch AHLers like Bains and Raty struggling at this level. But there seems to be some method to this madness.

I was also thinking that most beer leaguers in 8-Rinks look like Bains. And he them... Speedy Singhs 4 Ever.
