He plays with Myers?
Why is that, I wonder? They absolutely shit the bed every night playing together; they bring out the worst in each other. They have no good games playing together. Why Footer keeps that pairing together is one of those great Canucks mysteries.

Bainser sticking in that lineup no matter who comes back.

This Canucks team reminds me of that era between the 1982 cup run and the Pat Quinn era otherwise known as the Tony Tanti years. That was a dreadful time when we drafted Rick Lanz, Michel Petit, Garth Butcher and JJ Daigneault in the first round. Jim Sandlak and Dan Woodley were in there somewhere

That could explain Aquaman’s team philosophy, he probably has fond memories of that era.

I mean Lankinen really sucks tonight. Ferraro says he’s got no chance on the second goal. Yeah, because he’s guarding the shot that might go 2 feet wide, and doesn’t push off for a cross ice pass. Then tips are hard, but you can’t be leaky through you. It’s not like the shot if not tipped required him to open up.

Not that it matters if your team can’t score.

I wonder if Jim Rutherford will still want to remain competitive after this game?

I'm still wondering how we went from 3rd best season in franchise history less than 2 seasons ago... to being worse than the Tanti/Sundstrom/Skriko Canucks and now likely being forced to lose the best player ever.

At least those 80s Canucks had an built-in excuse of being in the same division as the dynastic Oilers and the great Flames teams.

I much rather watch those guys play than this toilet tanking turd of a team.

Remain competitive

That early one on Lankinen was weak as fuck. It's was a dribbler he should've closed off. Fer fucks sake
