We need a nukular deterrent (nuclear for those obsessed with spelling- you know who you are). We lost Chytil to an intentionally bad hit from Wilson, and M Pete got filled by Olivier in a hit that easily could have ended badly.
No one fears retaliation from the Canucks, just little Timmy asking "please sir, can I have some more?" There must be a Neanderthal in the Ahl, or ECHL, or the North Peace Hockey League. Scouts, get scouting.

Good (second to) last line RG.
Exactly what I was prompted to post as I read your middle stanza.

I have oft wondered if the Canucks were in on Arbor Xhejak when he was an u/d f/a.
And if not, why not.

We need a nukular deterrent..." There must be a Neanderthal...
I have frequently maintained that such a player does not necessarily have to be found, but could be created (trained) from a medium-largish AHL/NHL tweener (so, not necessarily a complete hockey liability) who was willing to do anything to stay in the big league.
But it doesn't matter if management doesn't think Vancouver needs such a player on the roster.

Didn't we recently have a tactical nukular weapon, someone who liked to start skirmishes but could also end them... all the whilst talking very un-diplomatically towards the other side?
Think he's in Boston now, where one of their all-time nukular deterrent recently went into the HOF.

I woulda spelled that “Nuckular”…..but I get what you were trying to do.
As an asSide…..
If Lever had done that I would’ve been all over him.
Only because I’m an obnoxious cunt.

The bar around this place may sometimes seem low, but I strive to hit it with every post.

Well, there is a concentrated effort to increase the overall bar level.
I'll tell you that for free.....

Knocked Matthew's out of the game tonight that particular deterrent did.

That individual just sent Auston “Pigman” Matthews down the tunnel with a hit tonight.
The Laughs answer was their 5’10” gargantuan weight atomic response, Max Domi…..which was perhaps one of the funniest scraps I’ve ever seen.

The thing I noticed about this year’s injuries is how many of them happened in the first week of the season. To the point about the training staff, I would wonder if the strength and conditioning staff shouldn’t get some scrutiny. Are their prescribed regimes stressing some muscles/joints to the point where the players are more vulnerable to injury?

The cycle completes.
....this point is how RG got all this started.
