Kids will be kids. Another reason Montreal will be the loveable underdog that still goes down in the 1st.

I think that's pretty close to how I would roll if forced to choose as well 5th except I am not sure of the following:

Florida's long haul taking last seasons run into account, as well as their injuries and Ekblad off pace due to his suspension may be a problem and Tampa sure appear determined and focussed to make another serious run - Guentzel was clearly a huge add and Vasy is likely to be tuned in

Taboo at this site and hurts to say it but I am not sure the Leaves aren't going to make a run at it this year

I think the Oil may be in trouble with LA this go around

Yeah definitely those three matchups could swing either way, and Tampa could go all the way if they win.

I will go with Caps vs Oil in finals.

I like Caps, big strong team built for playoffs. Oil will take lessons learned from last season and prevail though.

I do like Blues as well, got red hot @ right time, but they won't go all the way. I wouldn't want to play them opening round.

Oilers’ defense is a lacklustre. Ekholm was a huge acquisition for them last season, and his impact on their blueline was quite stabilizing. He’s out for at least the entire first round. They haven’t ruled out a return after that, but they are saying it should not be counted on.

Bouchard’s production has taken a step back.

Hymen has seen a massive drop in scoring.

Unless McDavid has been saving himself for the playoffs, this team is not the same offensive juggernaut that they were last season. 3 guys with more than 20 goals…..only Draisaitl has more than 30.

Skinner’s numbers are 2.81 GAA and sub .900 SV%. He got the hook 6 times this year. Pickard has better numbers in fewer games, but do you want to ride a career backup through the post-season?

They aren’t facing the same LA team that they faced in 2023…..that LA team was weaker and still they took Edmonton to 6 games.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

Great game in Winterpeg today!

I was just going to catch the 1st period, but ended up watching the entire game.

Ahh, playoffs.

C’mon Donny, I’m just trying to lighten the load here. I’m groovin’ on Bon Ivers new 7 minute chill song at the moment while sipping some nice Italian red with a couple micro tokes -
