You get that sense with Hughes that I don’t think we’ve had since the Sedins took to the ice the way he controls play. We are blessed.

No he didn't. Those two would be nothing but a bunch of minuses without someone actually playing defense for them and not be all needy with the puck.Chef Boi RD wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2024 8:14 pm BMO deserved it, he rode their coattails, a tag along, nobody will remember BMO other than Doyle, but Chef is losing his patience with Pettersson
Crow and Bert were both huge assholes, but the media never said shit about that. Naslund sucked as soon as he couldn't get puck touches when playing with the twins.

The important thing is Quinn catching Brady - within 9 now.
Hughes now at 40 points, two back of Makar’s 42 with two games in hand.
Go Hughes Go.

This team is so dysfunctional.
Blueline is atrociuos after Hughes and the injured Hronek. Soucy and Myers are bottom pairing guys. Juulsen, Desharnais, Brannstrom, Friedman, are all number 7's.
The interview with Hughes where they asked about Petey and Miller.....time to move one of them. If it's now a known problem, and the team has very clear need for an upgrade on the 2nd pair (preferably RS), you figure out who and make the move. At this point I don't care. The level of dysfunction has left my only slightly more interested in paying attention than Lever.
I will say that I think every player on the team picks up and carries on rather nonplussed if Petey is traded. I think you also have to move Garland and Boeser if you stick with EP40.

I was just about to comment that Tocchet needs to get Juulsen out of the lineup.
And then he goes and takes that double minor.
Wake up Rick ffs.

Bad read to try for that hit. But I saw one angle where it didn't look like Juulsen's stick hit him. It looked like it was his own stick.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2024 9:31 pm I was just about to comment that Tocchet needs to get Juulsen out of the lineup.

Don't trade either of the centres. They played like they were expected to.
Do something about that atrocious D. I don't know what the solution is, especially without Hronek, but you cannot keep making Juulsen an everyday player... with Forbort and Desharnais in the same game.
Lank bailed them out of so many games this season. This wasn't one of them.
What a Travesty.

Bowness is right on the post-game. Lankinen shoulda had that one.
BUT.
The team was terrible. Changes have to be coming.
