At this point of the season I don't think anyone is surprised where we are or who has been a positive and a negative really.

It was inevitable to regress from the start we saw last year, we are playign more like we did in the last couple months. The new guys are trending in the right direction after a bit of a slower start, again not a shock, many players struggle with the new systems for the first few months before integrating more with the team.

Silvos is not a starter, nor will he ever be. His flaws were pointed out by many in the playoffs. He just does not have the control Demko does, it will be great to get hime back. Having Lankinen step in and play well has really saved the start of the season, without his play they may rush Demko before he's 100% which would be disastrous long term.

Miller we need back and healthy, hopefully the time away is what he needs.

Twas predictable we suffer from injuries on the road trip, keep seeing a bunch of reports on Hronek that it could be lengthy which is unfortunate.

Really hoping we see Joshua get back un to game speed soon enough, he can be a game changer and with the addition of Sherwood we could have a line that will wear guys down early in games.

This team also needs to figure out playing at home, it needs to be a place teams do not want to travel to especially on the long western swings they have! Taking it way too easy on opponents that come into our barn. Being at home for much of December this could be a key point in the season that may decide who our first round opponent is and whether or not we get home ice.

Now I want to send him back to Latvia.

Unless the Leaves want him of course.
Actually his SV% against Nashville was not astronomical.

.900
.909
1.000
75 saves on 80 shots over 3 games = .9375 SV%

Astronomical. Especially considering what we were expecting.

5 goals against on 52 shots over 2 games = 0.904 SV%. Not astronomical.
0 goals against on 28 shots in game 3 = 1.000 SV%. Astronomical.

So he's 2/3's average and 1/3 astronomical.

Of the 8 goaltenders who started 8 or more games (made it out of the first round) in last year's playoffs Silovs sits 6th in SV%.

If you take away the best game from each of those goaltenders Silovs falls considerably to a .872 SV%.

If you take Swayman's best 3 games he posts a 0.970 SV%.

If you take Bobrovsky's best 3 games he posts a 0.990 SV%.

Even Stewart Skinner posts a 0.980 SV%.....

But of course as I already said, and you omitted to quote (as you are wont to do any time someone pokes a hole in one of your statements).....
Mëds wrote: The first two games he played good. Made some big saves. But his SV% was still below what one is hoping for in a good NHL starter for those first two games. He pitched a shutout, and that inflated his numbers massively in the 3 game sample size.

(just for that round, but only Joseph Woll had a better SV% over the entire course of the playoffs)

I was just explaining why Nuck fans fell in love with SheLoves.

(and then fell out of love)

You trying to twist the numbers... is for what purpose?

To prove no one fell in love with him? :?

Well folks obviously did fall in love with him, albeit briefly.

Your mental gymnastics are always fun though.

None of this was really my point which was actually that Nuck fans are as prone to easy love as Cuz in a fat factory.

Seems like Cuz did well on the Sherwood PiMP, Forbort and CoHog predictions.

Overall Prognostication% was astronomical...ly bad.

3 correct predictions on 13 guesses = 0.238 P%. Not astronomical.

The love of the over achieving under dog. Doubly so if they are 5'8" or under (with skates).

Did it begin with Andre Boudrias? Gary Lupil, Steamer, Cloutier, Cooke, CoHo, Lil Trojan, Rathbone, CoHog ....?

Well no one is going to argue against that.

And Donny....

We. Must. Argue.

We must counteract our constantly-falling-in-love sappiness.

Dunno man, Nasty Biz seems like the kind of guy that would just wipe his hands on his pants and be done with it.
