Yesterday, prior to going on Gutfeld, DJT visited a bar/restaurant and paid everyone's tab with Bitcoin

Trump has become more accepting of crypto of late, probably to support his latest venture, World Liberty Financial. Another scam for the gullible I'm sure. Trump and crypto were made for each other :(

You can use the price of DJT as a proxy for the likelihood of Trump winning the election. It hit a low of $12.15 on September 23rd and has been climbing ever since.

Trump's social media company stock surges as former president takes lead over Harris in betting markets

Shares of Trump Media and Technology Group have made a roaring comeback over the past month, surging as former President Donald Trump, the majority shareholder, took a commanding lead over Vice President Kamala Harris in the betting markets' 2024 election odds.

Trump Media, the parent company of Trump's social media platform, Truth Social, saw its value balloon to nearly $10 billion following its stock market listing in March. The stock is popular among retail traders and is seen as a speculative bet on his chances of securing a second four-year term as president.

On crypto-based prediction market PolyMarket, traders have seen Trump as more competitive over the past few months and showed the two candidates in a dead heat at the start of October, but Trump has since pulled away with a lead. As of Monday, PolyMarket bettors gave Trump a 54% chance of winning, and only a 46% chance for Harris.

I know you're kidding, but DJT is a stock I would never own. Trump owns 60% of the company and is known for screwing people over.

Anyways, I think up a lot of this is due to a short squeeze precipitated by polling numbers.

Since the whole stock is a scam, like most trump ventures, I would guess that a lot of 'investing' is just another way to funnel money to Doc's orange hero. Win or lose, he'll cash out soon enough, and everyone else will be left with nothing when the stock tanks.

I'm just wondering why every thread has to be murdrered by US politics ( by three guys that never go there) or religion.

I'm thinking hard about locking down a few K and maybe make a couple bucks. I come here to see what people think of bitcoin and some of the cryptos.. But it's more Trump and other crap here. I'm sure some faggot will bring up Benning and sewer another thread.

Keep on keeping on.

I don't think it's quite that volatile Corny but I see you working.

I don't think it's a scam. It's an actual business that is just outrageously overpriced (considering current annual revenue). Truth Social has very little traffic and is highly unlikely to generate any revenue on its own merits, so the inflated stock price is really based on expectations that certain entities will funnel money to Trump via purchases of" advertising" in exchange for presidential favors. You can already do this through his hotels and golf clubs, but the potential sums here are much larger. As a bonus he would be able to look more presidential by not selling Bibles, sneakers, watches, and other paraphernalia.

Also Trump can't really cash out as his stake is too large and it would tank the stock before he could sell very much.

If you don't understand it yourself and can estimate it's true value, it's just gambling.

Follow Buffet's advice and invest in a low-cost index fund.

While on the topic of scams, there is an interesting article on gizmodo about a a massive amount of scamming on Truth Social.

If true, Trumps voter base are an easily conned group.
