I though Talbot was Franglish for Cloutier...

Both the Coilers and Leaves - the Canadian hockey media darlings - share these things in common: dynamic offensive star forwards, a 'meh' supporting forward cast, a suspect blueline and inconsistent goaltending. Sounds like the WCE era Canucks. It'll be fun watching them flail about in the playoffs and break their fans hearts.

You really think the leaves have a Meh supporting cast? Best depth in the NHL.

How expectations have changed on this board: Celebrations about being "Only" 1 point behind the leaves. A year ago I bet the leaves ended up with more points than the Canucks and was laughed at.

Maybe that's why you guys were so excited to see the leaves blow a 4-1 lead and "Barely" beat the Rangers 8-5.

I can't quite get my head around Jake being nicknamed after Big Tuna. What's up with that?

That last sentence is pushing your chances of "ever" having anyone take you seriously one iota.
C'mon man, rein those puppies in a wee bit.

Lol! You kinda missed the point.

It wasn't that the Canucks are awesome for only being a point behind the Leaves, its that the Leaves fans are delusional to think a good week means they're a good team!

I'll just leave this brilliant Kessel for the Hart Trophy in November article here..

leaves fans are so far removed from comprehending the difference between a few wins in October vs winning a playoff series in April/May/June that they are fooled into visions of grandeur by a team scoring but not defending

I think the real issue is that the leaves have sucked for SO long that they are just basking in the temporary cloud break.

They just don't know what to do with this change of pace. :P

A few first round exits in a row will bring them back down to earth because right now I see them being a playoff team for a while, but with that blueline and GAA they aren't getting beyond round 1 any time soon.

Hyperbole much?

Repeating over and over "Rob Ford is the best mayor ever in Canada" doesn't make it true.

Congratulations! You got one right! After 11 years of posting nonsense you got one! Now you and your predictions can try to work up to broken clock status.

Most gaols scored of any team in the NHL and best depth by stats.

Too bad your team has allowed a whopping 10+ more goals against than than the other top scoring teams in the league.

Nice depth  ...perhaps they should have a look at their own end every now and then

Any time someone needs to be reminded how brutal Toronto is in their own end just throw on a maple Laffs game. This one tonight is a shining example of them flailing around on their own side of the puck
