Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
Great game by the Sens. They are a team you hate like the trapping Devils team, but had the leaves for 40 minutes. Marner was an inch away from a great comeback late in the 3rd.
BTW, since we are talking about the Sens playing great, are the Habs in the worst situation in the entire NHL right now? Sergachev is outscoring Drouin. Ouch. Price's 8 year/10.5 million contracts start NEXT season and a slow, declining Weber is under contract until he's 41. And 0 good prospects.

You are right about the Habs but I do not see the Sens as a team that is consistently using the trap.BigTuna wrote:Great game by the Sens. They are a team you hate like the trapping Devils team, but had the leaves for 40 minutes. Marner was an inch away from a great comeback late in the 3rd.

When you refer to the Devils, I assume you mean the Devils of yore because they sure as hell are a pretty exciting
team now. Have you been watching ?

That isn't when the games matter lol...BigTuna wrote:They do not have 2 guys carrying them. They have 4 lines that can score. And to correct you their worst time of the year last season was October. They were very good in the second half.Uncle dans leg wrote:Matthews and Nylander are carrying the team. Without them you guys are maybe a better than average squad at best.
Hell even with him your team defense stats are below median...and it's only October.
When the games start to matter, just like last year, the bloom comes off the rose.
Look there's no doubting it's a promising young team with lots to look forward to but you really need to step back and see it for what it is before you show up only after wins to proclaim your teams' place in the hall of fame
If you need air...call it in

But I said they were the worst in October and played their best in the second half. Those are not important games?
And BTW, October IS very important.

C'mon mick...<everyone> knows that there is only one team to watch!! Does Marner need some cooking in the AHL like his buddy Dylan Strome? He's really struggling

Maybe Brian Savage can come out of retirement for you guys...BigTuna wrote:Those are not important games?

As everyone except the entire leaves nation(including players and management) know...the regular season isn't when the games matter.
Maybe this point is lost on y'all and why the team hasn't won a playoff series in what...50+ years or whatever

You have to worry about the regular season before you start worrying about the playoffs. There is more parity than ever.

So, leaves are 1 point up on the canucks after 10 gp.
It's going to be hard to plan the parade route through two cities on opposite ends of the country!

At the first sign of adversity the little guppy disappears faster than a fart in a category 5 hurricane. Or is that a Hurricanes 6?Reefer2 wrote:No Tuna tonight.

Andersen might be Danish for Cloutier.
Don't look now but the ever perennial Stanley Cup contender Leaves are only one point in the standings ahead of the rebuilding Canucks who are expected to miss the playoffs.
