Henderson was just always "around" back in the day.

Still kickin' it at 80.

Good old school BC tune.

....the legendary punk rock outfit UK Subs were denied entry into the United States last month. The group were scheduled to perform at a handful of events in Los Angeles, but multiple members of the band were knocked back at the border in LAX Airport. In an op-ed written by the band’s Alvin Gibbs and published in the Dorset Eye, the punk shared, “There were two reasons given: first, they claimed I did not have the correct visa for entry; second, there was another unspecified issue that they refused to disclose.

Inevitably, though, the political undercurrent of punk, and the music of UK Subs in particular, became an unavoidable piece of evidence as to the true reason for their deportation back to the UK. “I can’t help but wonder whether my frequent, and less than flattering, public comments regarding their president and his administration played a role—or perhaps I’m simply succumbing to paranoia,” Gibbs theorised.

I went to see the Subs twice in Vancouver back in the 90s, both times they couldn't get through the border.
Each time I was at the venue waiting for the show.

I finally saw them in Bellingham. Great night!

Good one Megs.

Ian Anderson gets not enough credit as a musician nor as a showman.

And Jethro Tull not enough as a band.

Don't believe they're in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame even.

Yes, and they were hugely popular in their day as well.

I don't get it either.

Lol, agreed on that.

Bungled indeed.

Locomotive Breath makes up for it though.

I equate it to Clapton covering I Shot the Sherrif.

A misstep ...

Not their fault, but there's always this:
In 1989, Jethro Tull won the inaugural Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance
One of my first albums was "Thick as a Brick". Just last week I dug up a tour program from when I saw them in '79. Good show, as I remember it.
