Chara out 4-6 with a knee injury.

Philly decimated on D looking to make a trade for immediate help. Maybe now is the time to flip Sbisa.

Sbisa and Richardson for Simmonds!

Imagine a line of Simmons - Horvat - Kassian.

Higgins-Bonino-Bur
Simmonds-Horvat-Kas
Dorsett-Matthias-Hansen

Ollie Mata to have surgery to remove growth.

“Olli will have surgery to remove the tumor,” said Dr. Dharmesh Vyas, the Penguins’ team physician. “Even if it is found to be cancerous, we do not expect that he will need radiation or chemotherapy, and we anticipate a complete recovery. In all likelihood, Olli will go on to live a healthy life and this should not affect his ability to play hockey long-term.”
Matta will be eligible to play until the surgery and is likely looking at a four-week recovery time."

Good thing we didn't trade Kesler there for Matta!! With out luck the prognosis would be worse. Seriously wish him a speedy recovery.

Kings could only dress 19, including 2 goalies, last night because of the cap. Voynov suspended, Kopitar and Gaborik hurt but not on LITR.

Ya their hurting with the cap for sure. Could be a long season for them. Although Voynov's girlfriend/fiancé/wife, whomever she is, has said she never wanted him charged, it was a translational mistake on the part of the hospital, he never hit her, they had an argument then she had an accident. His lawyers saying the truth will come out soon! FREE VONOV!!

With the felony charge, the choice is not hers, it is the police and prosecutors choice to lay charges. If medical staff saw something suggesting abuse in her injuries, her hands are tied.

It's not unusual for the abused to defend the abuser in these domestic abuse cases...

Sounds like Backes got another concussion last night.

Approximately half of the Columbus Blue Jackets are injured.

Cory Schneider was pulled again last night. His stat line is quickly looking really bad...3.15GAA and .901SV%. The Devils still owe Schneider $46.5M over the next eight seasons and the fan base is already turning on him. Yikes.

Maybe they should go out and sign Brodeur. I hear he's available.

Time to adjust his medication?
