I can see both sides - maybe it's a 'prize' for graduating? Or maybe (based on your comments) they don't need him exposed to the AHL goonery in the playoffs?
I think he can handle the goonery Corn, it's Lekkerimaki I sometimes worry about.

I think they must view it as a reward, as you say.
Why not let him play more hockey though? Unless they are worried about the knock to the noggin' he took earlier.

That's possible Jello, I hadn't considered that.

As I said, though, I don't get this one.

Here's the Brandon Astle interview https://youtu.be/DYZ2yk3OfMg?si=sLFOEbin_so5Kax0

It's a pretty good Abby update, Astle isn't just a hot air balloon, I think he played the game at a pretty high level.

It's funny to see the urine crew pick out a chunk of 60-70 games of the teams second best player- and THAT is the guy he is. Period. They said so. Pee Pee Pants cried about it, Poo Poo Pant's threw his diaper around and fingerpainted the walls. Pukey Pants couldn't find his ass with both hands. Dude is coose to PPG over his career with horrid linemates for the most part.

Some of the fans in this city and most of the media are clueless. 26 year old centres who score at a ppg pace and play stellar defense just grow on trees. You can't fix stupid.

Blob, I ain’t trading Petey. I’m trading Willander to find a top 2 centre and shipping Chytil and his sensitive brain out to the pastures.

You need two legit top two line centres if want to play with the big boys of the league. Willander is expendable when you have Hughes, Hronek and MPete as your top 3 D-men with DPete and Mancini on the way. The centre position is in absolute shambles. The top two lines are as weak as this organization has ever seen in its 55 year history. It’s a code red and blue magenta situation, release the hounds!

31% of his goals and 33% of his points have come on the PP.....not an indictment in and of itself, however, on the PP, the guy largely played wing up until this season.

That doesn't include points scored while comprising a member of the "Lotto Line" where he also played wing.

This year he has played the center position in most situations. His numbers are certainly not 1.0 ppg.

So he's scored around 30 % of his points on the PP like most other high end offensive players. Good to know. Miller is in the same range. And if you think Pettersson was mostly a winger before this year, I can't help you. Just because Miller took the faceoff most times when they played together doesn't necessarily make him the defacto centre. He's played plenty of minutes in the middle. Mëds, just qualify every post about the guy and start with "I hate his guts"..... 'and every player to come out of Sweden'.....it's so much more transparent my 6 ft 11 friend.

Yeah there's really no point even trying to have an intelligent conversation with you. Rage and/or the desire to troll overcomes your ability to see anything you don't want to see.

There's no rage here amigo. You don't like the player/person. I hated Eriksson and Benning so I know how you feel.

I'm down with trading Pettersson but you'd better damn well be getting a solid return.,

Huberdeau came back to life after a disastrous season. I’m hopeful Petey will do the same. I imagine he’s not happy with himself, he’s a competitive kid, he’ll get his swagger and passion back. Stay the course, trade Willander for a centre!

I was reading an article yesterday that the Canucks had somewhat serious talks on trading Garland and or Myers at TDD. I dont know how serious the Canucks got in these talks but apparently there was interest.

Can this team just be normal for a couple years without any theatrics and look like fools.

Does this team do anything easy?

No one is suggesting a bag of pucks.

Huberdeau is a better skater than Pettersson. He can actually turn with the puck and not lose all of his speed.
