Yes he is out with a concussion. Tocchet said they will evaluate in 48 hours to see if he can fly with the team on their upcoming road trip. For his health, keep him off plane and call up Raty. Its time to give the kid a run to see if he has it in him to be an NHL centre. I want to make the playoffs as the benefits to the team pushing down the stretch and getting even a handful of games is huge for the players. But I have no expectations we will go far.

Chytil also has a different head related issue he's been managing his whole career outside of his concussions apparently

It has not been made public in New York but is something of a concern. Could be as minor as migraines but that's a guess
So, damaged goods?

One hit wonder

along with Brock playing down to RoboSwede's lowest expectations.

RoboSwede and the Geriatric, well done.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Player Safety's supposed to help prevent concussions. Yet we now have three players who've missed games this year with concussions or concussion protocol, all from absolutely unnecessary and avoidable plays. Yes, some suspensions were handed out after the fact, but if I got my math right we got a total of 7 minutes in power play time (a 5 min major and minor penalty) as a result from in-game penalties.

Not gonna blame Brock's poor game solely on his concussion but there could definitely be a link as he's struggled since. Chytil, however we feel about him, it's brutal to come back from missing almost an entire year and now have a career in jeopardy. DPetey, barely starting out as pro and may already have to deal with head issues. All for 7 minutes in power play time. One thing to review after the fact, how about making the damn call on the ice like you did with Quinn in Ottawa?!!

Allvin and Rutherford have received a fine dose of reality this season working in this market under the Aqualini mandate. I imagine those who have experienced this work environment are sitting back with smiles on their faces. Same old song and dance.

I think they're going to have their work cut out for them coaxing Ricky to sign on for more.

He seems about ready to check out of the fun zone to me.

Oh yeah, Tocchet seems checked out, biding his time. It’s a shitshow here, the prospects are bleak

I am starting to wonder if a top 5 pick is possible. They don't have an easy finish to their schedule but still it would have to be an epic collapse to achieve that.

I’m hoping for around the 10th pick. It’s a good draft class up to the middle of the 1st round

I am thinking they will end up in the 8 - 12 range.

This upcoming road trip should put any faint hope to bed I'd say unfortunately. There are some tough outs in there and I could easily see them going 1-5

Not a lot of fight left in this dog

It’s dismal, I imagine Aqualini won’t be cutting any bonus cheques this season. Will some heads roll?

The two games against the Jets will probably dictate the remainder of the season, more so than games against bubble teams like St. Louis. If they look anything like the demoralizing Jets' beatdown from earlier in the year, what motivation will they find the rest of the way, so they can get more of that?

Win one or both games could have the opposite effect. Not betting on it.

I'm thinking they'll trade their 1st and one of their top 3 prospects for a center
We'll burn that bridge when we get to it
