Necas can walk in 2026. He hasn't played a ton in the middle. If they ship Peter out, they need a centre coming back.

Kulich and Byram for Peter

Hughes for Nemec and Hischier and Mercer

Do it Allvin!

With Laughton - they've added a couple of really good pieces.

Boo them!
Hmmm, a 4/5 dman and a 3rd line centre.

Yes, decent pieces, especially for the PK...

But they gave up their 2nd best prospect (of which they have few)

... and now have zero 1st-round-picks for the next 3 years (also missing a 2nd).

After they're eliminated this year... no more trading chips at next year's deadline.
This is thier window. Futures don't matter when you haven't been relevant for decades.

Those are good additions. Had to be done.

Best thing is they still have to go though Florida. And Marchand.
They're okay additions, but not good enough in my opinion... plus they overpaid.

Leaves fans at that other site were ranting and raving about how horrible Laughton was last night.

(I know, just one game, but you know Leafers)

You're not going to get much in the way of offense out of him, and offense is what Leaves were looking for.

They failed in their bid for winger Rantanen, centre Schenn (refused to waive for Leaves), settled on Laugh.

(rumours were they were in on Gourde as well)

Carlo used to be good, but not so much in the last few years.

Those 6 concussions he has suffered have turned him into a big softy, afraid of the next one.

He doesn't hit very much now and he doesn't fight anymore.

They gave up 2 of their top 3 prospects in Minten + Grebenkin and as I say are left with no 1st rounders for the next 3 drafts.

I understand the whole "open window, go all in" thing, but they're not doing a very good job of it, in my way too humble opinion.

Kulich ain’t going nowhere.

I’d still do Petey for Necas, in a heartbeat. He’s a helluva player.

Did Brayden really refuse to go to Pigtown?

Toronto made two solid moves. Goon the prospect pool IF you have a window. They are in it. Players must be stoked.

Me too. I'd let him play out the string and give Jesus 18 a year. Buck Fedmonton

I think though, fans are more butthurt than the player is. This fanbase is riddled with drama queens.
Couldn’t agree more.

If no one wants you, you’d think that player would be full of piss and vinegar.

Let’s be honest here, Allvin and Rutherford need to start shutting their mouths more.

More insight into Boeser at the deadline and interesting comments about Demko...

Sure sounds like the Canucks were somewhat close in making Boeser a Hurricane but not for Dallas taking so long to get their deal done. Ran out of time to negotiate a deal both teams could live with. Canucks did not really want the first, they needed roster player(s) back, particularly a 2nd line centre. Sounds like Carolina was willing to part with a 1st but a roster player would require Canucks giving up a grade A prospect. Not time to negotiate once the Dallas deal was finalized. No wonder Allvin looked so lost. You would think that they would have negated a deal ahead of time???? So they could pull the trigger once the Dallas deal was done. No one wanted Boeser for a roster player. Canucks needed more than a pick to keep the team competitive.

Still say they should have grabbed the first if it was there.
The only HW the Canucks need

I saw somewhere a 1st and Kotkaniemi for Boeser and a prospect.

Depends who the prospect was.
