Leaves win 4-0, and y'know wot... I'm glad!

Yeah, I'd like to see them finish 9th in the East.

Buffalo mustered just 10 shots in this game!

But what of that elite, second coming of Adam Oates, skilled centre the Sabres have. Oh he was -1 and apparently pushed to the wing by younger prospects. I hope daddy is happy.

Why should he care - he's got a $25m contract and he's within striking distance of that lucrative GTA market so he can continue to grow his Coho brand

laugh fans are a perfect fit for their team. All f--cked up. They go after a certain players wife instead of the player. Bunch of f----ing losers. I love watching the centre of the universe completely collapse.

The Leaves need to dig up some old Naslund postgame interviews for him to learn from.

"I don't know what happened, I guess we came out flat..."

"I don't know what happened, I guess we weren't prepared..."

"We choked"

That is the leadership the Leaves need.

Kessel would look good on a number of teams that need secondary scoring, where he isn't under a microscope all the time.

But if there is a fire sale JVR is the player I want. I'd offer up Kassian plus for him. I'd look to go after Franson in the off season.

There are a couple of teams I think that would take a chance on Reimer so I would be looking to move him and get what I could, if for no other reason than to move him on. He has no future in Toronto.

The problem is that teams are not going to want to part with their 2015 first and that's what T.O. would want as a starter for any of their top guys, as they should. Nonis has also shown he suffers from the same ailment Gillis had, over valuing your own players and a reluctance to pull the trigger on meaniful moves. BB could pull the trigger. Nonis not so much.

I suspect that we will see Shanahan move to put his stamp on the team before the start of next season. Whether he gives Nonis the full year I guess depends upon whether they stay in playoff contention. The east is weak enough that T.O. should be a playoff team. Time will tell.
The only HW the Canucks need

The leaves will hold onto talent, maybe fire Carlyle and maybe even add a guy or two as Nonis tries to defer his inevitable move to Calgary.

They are simply not a very good team. Closer to the Flames and Canucks than the Penguins or Blackhawks, that's for sure.

Nah if the Leaves were to get that close to the Cup and lose

... enraged Leafers would storm the CN Tower and set off the nuke that is hidden therein. :mex:

Speaking of "enraged Leafers" I see Bernier has let in 3 of 12 shots in the 1st period tonight.

Hopefully one of "the pukes"...

http://www.tsn.ca/burke-comes-to-defenc ... w-1.138167

... asks Phil after the game: "Does Jonathan’s wife have a twitter account?"

LOL @ Burkie for springing to the defense of the player he traded for... the trade that ultimately got him fired!

PSSSST Burkie: Careful buddy, one of these "pukes" might sue yo ass!
