Rielly is one of the elite young D-Men in the entire NHL. Alreasdy a top-pairing guy, and on his way to being a #1. Zaitsev is a great top 4 they got for free. Gardiner is a great guy to have in the top 3.

Kapanen could be a Vey-like bust at the NHL level (no team would do that deal)

They have already traded away too many picks (despite what Tuna says the rebuild is not complete).

I don't think Kadri gets the dee I described above (career year, likely to fall back into his partying ways)

The Nylander option seems the best but Leavers are loath to to trade any of their 3 young forwards.

(they have hitched their wagons to their stars, they FREAK OUT at the mere suggestion of moving one)

Besides I'm not convinced a team would give up a physical top 2 RHS dee for him in this market.

But yeah the dee is a wreck... next year the only NHL caliber dmen are Rielly/Zaitsev/Gardiner

... all three are soft second pairing guys (and Zaitsev might yet get coaxed back to Russia).

Pacific Blue u r a smart Hockey guy this bias over the leaves horrid blue line is a stretch they are a dangerous team in a one shot situation cause they can roll 4 lines and 3 are dangerous I dunno if they win this series but they will be dangerous going forward in the future thats just me.... From an eyeball test I could care less about cap situations and who is in their system cause quite frankly I don't follow them nor do I give a shit all I will say is they are getting experience and are fucking dangerous cause they have enough evil and jam to play this time a yr and enough scoring to scare anyone...

You can't win the mean something season called the playoffs unless you have Big League Goaltending and Big League Defence. It's all Bush League in the nets and defence for the leaves.
