They will be ousted in 4 straight games and where will the leaves be drafting? Drafting another smurf like Yamamoto
How will the leaves fix the defence? An almost impossibility

Gardiner/Zaitsev/Rielly are a nacellent top 3. One more top 4 guy and they're good. Gardiner was a beast last night.

The leaves - 2016 - 2017 league leaders in shots against. Can somebody explain to Tuna that Reilly is nothing but a Ditz on Wheels

Rielly is one of the elite young D-Men in the entire NHL. Alreasdy a top-pairing guy, and on his way to being a #1. Zaitsev is a great top 4 they got for free. Gardiner is a great guy to have in the top 3.RoyalDude wrote:The leaves - 2016 - 2017 league leaders in shots against. Can somebody explain to Tuna that Reilly is nothing but a Ditz on Wheels

Kapanen could be a Vey-like bust at the NHL level (no team would do that deal)
They have already traded away too many picks (despite what Tuna says the rebuild is not complete).
I don't think Kadri gets the dee I described above (career year, likely to fall back into his partying ways)
The Nylander option seems the best but Leavers are loath to to trade any of their 3 young forwards.
(they have hitched their wagons to their stars, they FREAK OUT at the mere suggestion of moving one)
Besides I'm not convinced a team would give up a physical top 2 RHS dee for him in this market.
But yeah the dee is a wreck... next year the only NHL caliber dmen are Rielly/Zaitsev/Gardiner
... all three are soft second pairing guys (and Zaitsev might yet get coaxed back to Russia).
This can't be fixed anytime soon.
Watch the Caps steamroll them in the playoffs!

Pacific Blue u r a smart Hockey guy this bias over the leaves horrid blue line is a stretch they are a dangerous team in a one shot situation cause they can roll 4 lines and 3 are dangerous I dunno if they win this series but they will be dangerous going forward in the future thats just me.... From an eyeball test I could care less about cap situations and who is in their system cause quite frankly I don't follow them nor do I give a shit all I will say is they are getting experience and are fucking dangerous cause they have enough evil and jam to play this time a yr and enough scoring to scare anyone...RoyalDude wrote:They will be ousted in 4 straight games and where will the leaves be drafting? Paddy Doc and Dude don't like players with evil and jam. They like soft little guys who lack speed and compete.
I don't like the leaves either but they sure are fun to watch and they have a shitpile more young talent than Vancouver does. It's more the bonesmokers like Ron McLean and on TSN that I can't stand more than the team itself.

They're cap situation is fine. It's pure fantasy. it's better than any other promising young team in the league.olpaddy wrote:Pacific Blue u r a smart Hockey guy this bias over the leaves horrid blue line is a stretch they are a dangerous team in a one shot situation cause they can roll 4 lines and 3 are dangerous I dunno if they win this series but they will be dangerous going forward in the future thats just me.... Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
Pacific Blue likes his skill Doc I will go to my grave believing he is a leaves fan knows just a little too much about them to Hate them as much as he claims I couldn't tell u who is in the Flames, Oilers, system let alone cap implications in 2020 and I despise BOTH but for guy to know the inter-workings of a club in another conference is sketchy to say the least... I dont have any animosity for them one thing about living in Southern Ontario the Maple Leaf fans one thing that is different than when I lived in Vancouver I wish Fellow Canuck fans would adopt is Leaf fans dont give a Fuck about anything else in the world...Blob Mckenzie wrote:Paddy Doc and Dude don't like players with evil and jam. Thats why the hate on a Vancouver Canuck message board is kinda depressed cause truth be told Leaf fans don't even know the Canucks are in the league let alone missed the playoffs they are a non thought but so is Calgary and Edmonton... Meanwhile I come here this thread continues to have the 2nd most posts on the entire board
They are well coached play exciting hockey have enough evil pricks that will flourish this time of yr and are playing a team with more skeletons in their playoff closet than US... I dunno if they can win the series but I also know I would kill for that roster... Cause unlike here where there is NO PLAN that team is built to play in the regular season and post season
Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
Jake Gardiner was a stud tonight. Over 40 minutes.
Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
Kapanen scored 2 playoff goals and Andersen looked fantastic and made almost 50 saves. Please tell me again how the leaves got nothing for Kessel?RoyalDude wrote:This is what the leaves have to show for Seguin, Hamilton and a yearly 1.2 million payment to Kessel - Andersen the legendary big game/playoff choke artist! The leaves farm team coach regarding the leaves best D prospects - "they are yeeeeeeeeaaaaarrrrrrsss away!"
Keep on keepin on Team Smurf
You can't win the mean something season called the playoffs unless you have Big League Goaltending and Big League Defence. It's all Bush League in the nets and defence for the leaves. Good luck in trying to build those areas of the ice, Tuna. The hardest positions to build are Goaltending and Defence. The leaves are yeeeeeaaaaarrrrrs away in that department. Years!
