Likely no one brought it up, because they were afraid of getting banned for disagreeing too?

Touche Cliff.

LOL sorry Pal, just takin' the piss.

I am 100% in favor of taking McKenna 1st OA if Doc convinces the Hockey Gods to cut Van a break.

But I'll also 100% agree - that if we drop, and take Verhoeff, then move Hronek and get another 1st at the draft.

So it seems the current owners wont sell, and management is here to stay at least until mid next season.

EP will still be on the team for the foreseeable future, same as Debrusk and Boser.

We have a handful of young players under the age of 22 that may be part of the future, other than Cootes there is nothing else on the farm or prospects that look promising but I hope I am proven wrong?

We fans cannot change a single thing except maybe getting down to 8,000 fans at a game but that won't happen. I do not see anything changing so what are y'all going to do over the next 24 months?

Are you going to want the team to tank and get a top 3 pick this year and next, do you want to see the young guys progress.

I know what we don't want to see and that is moving picks for a quick fix.

Edit - Chicago has had 4 top 10 picks in the last 4 years and 11 1st round picks in total. SJ has had 3 top 10 and 7 in 1st round and neither have really moved forward yet. There was some promise from SJ and they look to be ready to move forward, no idea what Chicago is doing so wrong and now end up 31st in the league.

Rumour has it that we're looking into this guy...
Troy Terry is the first player in NHL history to play over 50 games in a season without registering a single hit

Corn.

Reef....tbh as most know I have not watched overly raptly for years but I can say this about that.

I would be more interested in watching a tenured, properly and efficiently managed 5 year rebuild/restructure than anything that has hit the ice here since 2012 (fake ass, pseudo successes in a couple of seasons aside).....

...can they do that is the question the answer to which is clearly that it is doubtful.

I agree but if they don't, will you stop watching all together or watch other teams?

I have been a fan since I was a young lad but I do not remember so much despair about this team throughout their existence as I see now.

I am hopeful that we see some trades in the off season. Likely won't help us in this years draft but in 2027. Perhaps we get another prospect or 2, or younger roster player. I think there will be a market for Debrusk, maybe M Pettersson if we decide to move on from him. I think those two are the likeliest to waive as they have both said this is not what they signed up for. Or words to that affect.

Once the FA frenzy settles there will be teams with money to burn who lost out on names they were after. 31 teams will be coming off the disappointment of not winning the Stanley Cup. Teams will have a clearer picture of cap. The danger for us is we hang on to long when teams fill their cap space. Now to be honest there isn't a huge return out there for any of our players not named Hronik and he isn't going anywhere for now.

So we may have a little return on some guys but I am afraid our vets just dont excite anyone, not even we fans.

I rarely watch and I don't really care.

The question is would I start watching again if they got really good.

Not sure I'll need to worry about that.

We are all getting to old to cast our hopes and dreams that this shit organization will ever bring a Cup home.

I don't see despair Reef.

I see ambivalence.

Which is a huge difference for the owners of this team. "Despair" implies caring.

They may not know it, but this could be the biggest offseason in the club's history. If they shit the bed, we'll be in for a (84 game) season of what we're seeing now - and most of us will find new things to do. If they make some moves and give us a reason to watch and care? Well... that's their fuckin' job, ain't it?

Is it?

Not sure about that Corn.

Maybe for Ryan Smith it is.

For these fucking guys?

All about the Benjamin's is my guess.

The Vancouver Canucks' annual revenue for 2025 is estimated at US$234 million to $235 million, with an operating income (EBITDA) of approximately US$42 million. The franchise is valued at roughly $2.2 billion and ranks around 12th in the NHL, with revenue steadily increasing from $187M in 2022 to over $230M by late 2025.
