They're getting in front of this minor injury so Juolevi can get back to training and preparing for camp.

Wise move to not let the situation fester like MG with CoHo.

I believe Edler said it took a year to get back to 100%, that lines up with people I know who have had the same procedure, but it does seem that pro athletes are recovering much faster. Parise had it last fall, he was back in 12 weeks but was clearly not at full speed.

Thx Mick, I don't think this is a serious operation, I think it delays him about 6 weeks of training. More time to level up his characters in Fortnight.... Just kidding! This small delay won't change BPA. I say put him in Utica and bring up Chatfield.

It also depends on the degree of injury.

I remember the agony Edler was going through before the surgery. At the time, I was always in the car, Taking my son to guitar lessons with Dave Martone, listening to Pratt & Taylor,
and The Brady Bunch. "Perverts".
The point is, I heard the doctor that was to do the procedure both before and after. It sounded pretty radical with some risks. one being, it was a one time deal. Edler was having to ice his back for three hours before every game or practice.
That says to me, it was appreciably further along.
After the job, I remember the same specialist say it would last for at least 7 years.

I take it, although the name of the procedure is the same, this is of a less serious nature.

How perfect, it's June, the Sedins have been retired for 2 months, the Canucks dropped in the draft lottery (again), and their top 3 prospects are all hurt -Boeser, Peterson and now Juolevi.

If anybody ever asks about Canuck Luck, this is the perfect example.

I think that the severity of Edler's injury and recovery period correlated with Sami Salo's salary, not any prior deficiencies in medical technique....
