6 goals in last 3 periods for Rantanen. Wow!
Colorado fucked up. Rantanen’s a beast
It's true, and I'm actually quite surprised by his production in Dallas.
Tonight, however, there was a horseshoe up his ass to go along with his work.
First goal he was falling down and swiped one-handed at a weird rebound.
Second goal was a deflection from far enough in front of the net that it could just as easily gone over the glass.
Third goal he was passing to Hintz and put it into the defenseman's foot which sent it 5-hole on Hellebuyck.
Gotta be good to be lucky though.
I love posts like this - really shows individual perspective, and creates good discussion usually.

I saw him battle his way to the front, while the goalie made a save off a sharp angle one timer - left the rebound sitting there and he reached with one hand to deftly poke it in before the defender could tie him up, or get to it. Heart and soul, go to the net type play I wish a certain Swede on the Canucks showed more of.

I saw amazing hand/eye coordination, from a shot for a tip by Harley - with the goalie having no chance. High skill play, not many players can make.
No contest on the 3rd goal, horseshoe all the way. Unlucky for the defender.
Rantenen is an absolute wagon right now - back to back hatties, leading the playoffs in scoring. Watched Sakic's interview after the COL loss, and he rationalized the trade as not being able to tie up massive dollars in 3 players and have no supporting cast (shot at EDM?) - and I do think he is right. And he made the right choice - Makar is the best defensemen in the game right now - and Nate is a beast, still has to sting a bit.
