Regardless of which exact insult he was throwing down, it's totally unacceptable. It also seems like QH was not going to let it slide either and took it up the ladder to get sorted ie:trade the problem out of town

I see why they were calling it a mental health break
I think that was the last straw, or Miller finally said something that was beyond the pale for Quinn and the rest of the bunch, and Quinn took it up. Likely something along the lines of, "We tried managing him in the room, but this BS just won't stop and it's affecting the room."

Funny thing, you listen to some of the other players answer questions about it towards the time of the trade and they give off the whole "Love the guy, and it's hard to see." kind of vibes. I don't think there's much animosity towards JT in the room by and large, just regret.

Just delete a couple of posts - don't need that bullshit on our site.

I've been asking people to start posting responsibly, and if that can't happen things will be getting a lot stricter around here, and nobody need that.

“That’s how you calm JT Miller down. You’ve got to have a veteran group that knows how to settle him down at the right times when he gets a little off the rails because he does. If you get him dialed in, he’s an unbelievable player, and he’s a great guy, but he needs veteran guys around him, or he gets squirrely.”
I believe it. When JT first came here and we made the Bubble playoffs, we have some long tenured vets: Edler, Tanev, B.Sutts, Erikkson, Marky Mark & BoHo. We also had solid vets who were character guys: Beags, Rousell, Pearse & Jo.Benn. JT was the new guy and he knew his place. We had no problems with him that year, he knew his place and I'm sure the vets helped keep him in line.

In time, lots of those vets moved on. We started to see JT act out. At first, it was just the occasional F-bomb caught on the live feed. Under Coach B, we kinda saw those incidents grow (ie: incident with goalie Delia, L.Schenn calling him out on a lazy play).

Last season, the team was winning, so the room seemed pretty good for the most part. I think having a solid vet like I.Cole and to a certain extent Big Zaddy had a good influence on the team and therefore Millzy as well.

Fast forward to now, the well documented rift between Millzy and EP40 and some rumblings that there was a heated exchange between Millzy and Coach Tocc. It's too bad. From a mgmt perspective, I'm sure they wanted Millzy to step up and be one of the leaders on the team. He was one of the older players now, they should not be relying on bringing in character vets all the time to come in and babysit them and hold their hands. JT should be one of the leaders and a culture setter for young players, new Nucks and trying to get the most out his mates; not annoying some of the more soft spoken ones to the point that they have trouble playing well and has to get the coaching staff and mgmt involved.

So does Petey feel traumatised and needs time to get over it?

Seems like Petey is just slowly getting over it now. :P

Nucks seem to be playing way better and playing like a team again. Is it just coincidence after JT is gone? It is small sample size, but time will tell.

I think its a Hughes issue. He has been gone the last 4 games.. That's gotta be it, right?? :D :D :drink:

Well both players have the same stat line in the 4 Nations - 0-0-0.

And Miller ended it by calling out his teammates.

No surprise there.

JT Miller is a Jimmy Feces/Dave Capuano/Victor Oreskovich hybrid. Like jamming a Yugo, a Hornet and a Pinto together and giving it a six inch lift with wooden paneling and an 8 track player with Steely Dan playing with Doctor Hook in the hopper.

Peter would beat the wheels off of him.. it would be like Chuck Liddell beating on Screech from Saved by the Bell

Yeah, had a hard time finding anything about Miller calling out teammates. Only thing I found was him mentioning how he hated that the Tkachuk bros brought up in the media the private group chat about the fights. Pretty innocuous shit, really. Even so, judging by his time in Vancouver, it is to wonder what he said in the room. I wonder what return fire he got from his teammates.

Either way, Petey had an absolute stinker of a tournament but outside of 7 minutes of penalties and some hits Miller was a non-factor as well.

Misery loves company, it seems.

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.
