What does "most of the league owning Vancouver for a few years yet" have to do with Seattle?

I’m just saying that if the world turns the way it has since 1967 Seattle is going to have the Canucks number whether we have a good team or bad one. Blob as usual took it full Eore. Personally I can see the silver lining most days and take it with a grain of salt regarding rest of league, but absolutely fucking hate with all of hell’s fury losing to Toronto, Edmonton, Calgary, Montreal and if it comes to pass, Seattle

I remember one person saying "Seattle isn't a hockey town at all."
And today NHL Seattle sold
25K season-tickets in one hour.

League and owners pick up a big war chest heading into CBA negotiations.

Yeah I thought of that too. I can see another lockout/strike on the horizon.

If there is a lockout (I doubt it), the players will take it up the ass even harder than they did last time.

Are they looking at expansion or moving a team for this bid?
I'd expect the owners might be asking for the next expansion format to be a little tighter considering the Vegas results.

Expansion for sure. Too much cash involved!
Bettman stated the rules for Seattle would be the same as what Vegas had:

Think of how I feel when Elmer makes a decent move. I hate agreeing with the Davidians. Thankfully it hasn’t happened very often.

Heard on the radio that a decision could happen this June, that would mean the team starts 2020 or 2021.
Better start looking at who we are not protecting.

Thus delaying some players by one year is wise.
Too bad Biega didn't get a three year deal

but we should have plenty of blue liners to expose anyway.
We can expose Sutter and Eriksson too. re-sign Gaunce and Dowd.
Ahh, we'll be fine.
