Hughes may become the best, most accomplished player this team has ever had - and that's with the Twins in consideration.
For decades we've wished for a Dman like him. Remember the tease that was Scott Niedermeyer when we thought he would come as a FA?
Fix the fucking core so we don't waste our time with him.

I’m fairly convinced at this point he will end up being the greatest Canuck of all time. Throw him the moon and more on the next contract. He’s done things this year that have been mind blowing.

For sure - Bure was exciting, and we can't forget that - but if Hughes stays long-term, he's #1.
Last year he looked great, while the rest of the team excelled. This year he looks otherworldly, while the rest of the team watches. Putting up these numbers this year, with minimal support is very impressive.

He already is the best player we've ever had. If he wins another Norris this year he will also be the most accomplished.
There was one season where Henrik carried the team minus Daniel that was similar to what we’ve seen from Hughes…..but he did that with supporting cast of Burrows, Kesler, Bieksa, Hamhuis, Salo, Edler, and Luongo. All veteran guys who were a tight team. No previous captain has led the team through the sort of shit we’ve seen this season the way Quinn has.

We are finally witnessing the dark side of Streaky Jake DeBrusk. In his last 10 games - 0 goals, 1assist and a minus 2. Oh goodie.

17 goals in 50 games = a 27 goal pace. 5.5 million per. 28 years old, plays with pace and produces in the playoffs.
Thanks Patrick and Jim for another quality signing.

Yep.
Beats the fucking pants off of $11.6M for a 20G pace that pumps in 1G in 13 games come the post season.

I will pass judgement on the Alien when the toothless bully is gone. I would have a bit more love for the guy of he didn't get mangled by wimples like Bahl and Brayden. He couldn't smack the shit out of a dirty diaper. He's soon 32. Gave us some great service but once again he's getting run off another team. Bit of a pattern here. Rich man's Max Domi.

All the Chef is cooking here is with DeBrusk recent goaless streak it brings to light of just how streaky this player can be after first witnessing his torrid early season goal scoring prowess. Has the shine worn off? Is the honeymoon over?

Apropos of the team disintegrating/being reshaped, have you any theories about the long term intentions of the Hughes brothers playing together? Or has fate and the draft decreed that they are rivals except at the Olympics/Fake World Cup
