I think currently:
Buffalo
EP to Buff
Tuch/Power to Van
Ratsnest Dahlin would be my choice but it likely requires a significant add to bring that fish back
Thought the same

Dahlin ain't happening.
Powers I'd think is at the very least in play for them as a discussion point.

Particularly since they acquired another top 4 left shot D in Bo Byram at the deadline. That was kind of a head scratcher.

Could probably target CBJ as well, they have room and will have even more in 25/26.
David Jiricek is listed as one of the top prospects not in the NHL right now, sounds like a great option for a long term Hughes partner. Young, but has the size already!

Pipe dream but if we could spin something with Chicago (back to last years EP "rumours") and get pick 2 then take this Levshunov kid out of Michigan State we may be set on D for years to come.
Or Carolinas D prospect Nikishin who is 22 and ready to play in the league but is he coming?
Another SKYOlever pipe dream.
One of the most impressive young players outside the NHL at his position over the last couple of years, Nikishin now has the two most productive U23 seasons in KHL history by a defenseman. Last year, he broke Kirill Kaprizov’s U22 points record. This year, he leads SKA in scoring and is the youngest captain in the league. In both seasons, he led the league’s D in scoring. He has done it while playing huge minutes on one of the better teams in the league in each season.
Nikishin’s a physically advanced (6-foot-4, 216-pound) defender whose strength is evident in his blistering point shot, his ability to win board battles and his net-front boxouts. I like the way he reads the play, closes off the wall and gets into passing lanes. He’s strong defensively at five-on-five and on the penalty kill. He plays the game with presence and command. He moves pucks confidently. He can skate. He manages the point effectively and has shown an ability to beat the first layer. I’ve believed in his offensive game since his draft year and it is now well-established at the pro level, with the tools and instincts to do damage, and a trigger-happy eagerness to put pucks low and hard on net. He checks a lot of the boxes that coaches look for and should be a two-way top-four stud with some real offense when he comes over.

Mikheyev straight up for Gudbranson.

A nned for spped.
No idea on Gudbranson.
All I know about him is he was a high first round Panther pick, he's big, will fight, carries 2 more years at 4 sheets and is right handed.
Could he play with Quinn?

I always did kinda like Guddy, gotta have those big doods on D.
Guddy was pretty good playing with Zaddy in Cow-Town, helped him earn that 4 year deal with CBJ. Not sure if Zaddy is coming back though, looks like 50/50 @ this point. If the backup plan is to get B.Dillon to replace Zaddy, he's a solid, defensive stay-at-home vet. I think Guddy will be fine playing with a guy like Dillon on the 3rd pairing in limited minutes. Guddy was always pretty good with another solid D-man like Edler, but he did struggle when paired with guys who can't really handle tuff minutes (ie: B.Hutt).

Nah, I picture him on the 3rd pairing with Soucy.
He's overpaid, but of course so is Mikheyev.
I see this as a trade that could help both teams.
Todd, I think Zads will be back...

Pretty solid group there and would be happy with that.
Edit:
Just saw this, Friedman doesn't sound to optimistic about Zads coming back.

$4.1M reasons why we won’t ice as competitive of a roster next year as we did this year.
Edit: Adjusted figure.

but Doc, you told me getting rid of Mik wouldn't be that costly because we are no longer in flat cap.. why would we take on another bad contract?
