Pettersson leads Canucks forwards with 11 Controlled Entries (3.66/game) over the last 3 games, 4 more than anyone else

Hard to enter the zone with possession when the D keeps going glass-and-out

Nice to see the stats confirm the eye test on how well Sassons has been playing...

There seems to be a major disconnect between the D and forwards. After Hughes it’s a miserable scene of D-mem with an inability to do more than just bang pucks of the glass a la Adam Foote style. The continuity between the two elements is off the charts horrific

Lekkerimaki took an awful face first header into the boards in the third period in Tucson last night:

We've been saying this for months, ad nauseam. You can see the night and day difference between last year's D group vs this season's. Add to the multitude of injuries and the offence has dried up and the forwards look amateurish.

Asides from Hughes, the zone exits are a literal Travisty again.

Fix that and the question will be, what feud?

Which begs the question based on the apparent insider information (deep throat) the defence core for this season and the type of DNA they were looking for came at the request of Tocchet and Foote. The question is - who is to blame here? The coaching staff? Management? Or a combination of both?

Word today from Allvin is that he wasn't seriously hurt, but we'll see.

Practice today before the road trip had the defence set as:

Hughes-Myers
Forbort-Hronek
DPetey-Soucy

They could flip Hronek with Myers, but whatever. it looks like the best defence the Canucks have iced this season.
Friedman sent down. Juulsen and Deharnais eating popcorn. Nice!

The $2 million air thief Desharnais scratched for the kid? Nice! Tocchet is risking life and limb here, how courageous of him.

Let's wait until Juulsen returns from injury
