Theyre using him now as a post to use as a pick...like the net. He just stands there waving at pucks and wading into scrums after whistles

It’s not even skating, it’s like walk skating

Lucic LOL
Lucic needs to retire hes embarassing himself out there now. Hes completely finished as a player
He’s still owed 13 million in real cash. He’s not retiring.
The skinny is the Lames are talking trades this summer for Gaudreau. Pretty sure this is the kids last year in cowgrease.

Its funny that they'll have to do that because of the Lucic boat anchor. Gotta love your rivals failings.
Gaudreau is having a really crappy season. His value is nowhere near what it was two years ago. Same with Bennett and even Monahan for that matter. Overall I think Treliving has done a decent job in Calgary but he really needs to move out a couple core pieces this summer. Hanafin hasn’t progressed like he should have. I mean he’s ok but they guy was a 5th overall pick. You’d expect more. I see big ass changes coming in the summer for that squad.

Johnny Hokey has been completely invisible in the Battle of Alberta.

I’m building around Monahan (a centre) and Tkachuk. Gaudreau was reluctant to sign the last contract. He’s always desired to play back home. His value hasn’t gone down, he’s an excellent player who needs a new start somewhere else. All bets are on he gets moved to one of the east coast teams. The Rangers are filled with excellent young goaltending. The Flames need Goaltending big time, defence as well.

His value has gone down for sure. He is on pace for 30 less points this year and he has one year less in his contract. Sure he still has good value but not what it was a year or two ago. I’d move him to the East coast for a package of kids.

Was never convinced Johnny and money were the cornerstones to build around and pretty much a failure to add the complimentary players.

Hard to believe that contract is up the end of next year. Time flies.

Disagree, he’s not happy. You don’t have a season like last year and all of a sudden struggle. I see a JT Miller like change of scenery renewal with Gaudreau and most GMs will too. He’s to good. He’s a Philly/Jersey kid. It’s a perfect win win trading partner.

NYR has a dearth of prospects to target - goalie Shesterkin, D-men Miller Lundqvist, forward - Kravtsov

Philly - Myers, Frost, Patrick, Farabee

New Jersey - Ty Smith, Hischier, Hughes (yes I said it), their 2020 first

Lamouriello is a gutsy trader. Barzals next contact negotiation is gonna drive Lou mad. Perfect trade for both teams. Lou loves his Americans
NYI - Barzal, Dobson, Wahlstrom, Wilde, Sorokin

Happy or not his value isn’t what it was. He only has two years left on his deal compared to four last summer. It’s simple math. He will garner a nice return but it won’t be a massive haul.

Jersey currently holds the 3rd worst record, they draft a centre like Byfield or Stutzle and move Jack Hughes to Calgary for Gaudreau. Both are struggling. The Hughes and Tkachuk clan are close. Puts Jack closer to Quinn. Gaudreau goes back home and plays on Hischier’s wing. Getterdun!

I feel like Gaudreau suffered a serious wrist injury in that first round hack n slash, he looked awful in the playoffs too.

Both Jack Hughes and Gaudreau are struggling. Good trade. I’d suggest struggling Nolan Patrick but his prospects look awful.

Lol Jersey isn’t giving up 18 year old Hughes for 27 year old Gaudreau. That would be asinine.

Newsflash: Nolan Patrick hasn’t played all season and may not play again.

Ok maybe the worst 1st overall pick since Yakupov - Jack Hughes is not a good suggestion.

Ah yeah. I know. It’s why I said Patrick’s prospects don’t look good.

Howbout Patrick for Gaudreau? :P
