So, you're saying "where there is smoke, there is fire", right?
Whichever version turns out to be closer to the truth, though, the range of explanations is between bad and worthy of prosecution. Either the Trump campaign was exceptionally naive in meeting Ms Veselnitskaya. Or it colluded with an agent of a foreign power to gain an advantage in the election.

Interesting article in defence of conservatism:
Conservatives did not usually deny the world of science, but doubted that its findings exhausted all that could be known about humanity. During the terrible ideological battles of the 20th century, American conservatives urged common sense upon liberals and socialists tempted by revolution.
The contest between conservatives and the radical right has a history that is worth remembering. Conservatives qualified the Enlightenment of the 18th century by characterizing traditions as the deepest kind of fact. Fascists, by contrast, renounced the Enlightenment and offered willful fictions as the basis for a new form of politics. The mendacity-industrial complex of the Trump administration makes conservatism impossible, and opens the floodgates to the sort of drastic change that conservatives opposed.

We finally find out who the supposed illegal voters are, as Donald Trump thanks some 40,000 boy scouts (ie children) for voting for him...

The RAISE act is simply too little too late.
If it had been in place in 1885, it could have prevented the entry into the US by Bavarian draft dodger Friedrich Trumpf, who spoke no English and had no particular skills, and could have saved us all from the present unfortunate situation.
Instead he was let in and managed to make himself a small fortune running brothels and restaurants in Seattle and later Yukon, obviously instilling his knack for making money through morally questionable affairs in his descendants. He later tried to move back to Germany, but was deported for having failed to serve in the military, and as the Germans refused to let him settle there, he had to go back to the US.

Really...? I mean, Doc quoted CNN on June 29th, but before that you have to scroll all the way back to May.
Not really much CNN material here. Not sure if anyone here is following them much?
I tend to follow British media more than American, as you might gather from seeing me frequently quoting the BBC, The Guardian and The Economist.
Anyway, here's a scary article from the New Yorker:
