I can respect a reporter that gives his opinion on facts at the time of an event, but have trouble believing the credibility of those that wait, then jump,on the negative side.
Gahhligee never had a positive thing to say about the team, and spewed shit like a lactose intolerant assohole after fresh milk.
So, before judging a repoter or media guy, say for example JD Burke, I would ask myself things like:
- what was his opinion on draft day of the picks of Petersson, Boesser, and Hughes? - who would he have rather had, and why? .. what's his opinion of the picks now? Did he have an opinion BEFORE draft day, or did he just jump on the wagon after the event?
- what was his opinion on UFA day of the Erickson signing? What was he saying about whomthe Canucks should be targeting in FA a couple weeks before ? (And the same of Beagle, Rousel, and Ferlund).
- what was he saying about trade deadline these last few years? Before and after trade deadline?
Point I am trying make is a lot of these media guys try to be contrary just to get the limelight. They never have an opinion before an action takes place, just spew negative shit after an event to grab more limelight. The guys who clench their hands together screaming 'management needs to get help for the team' then bash management for making a move.
These are the people I have zero respect for.

We are currently witnessing the demise of cinema, replaced by at home streaming services. I’m assuming the am/fm radio format will be the next to fall with the rise of podcasts, Spotify etc.
Sekeres on 1040 said they can no longer afford to pay their guests. That to me is spelling the end. Ads are finding other services to promote on since well, nobody listens to radio or buy newspapers anymore. Evolution of media.

Cineplex will have to evolve, and they are trying. But have you seen their prices!!!!!
And drive ins could make a modest comeback.

His radio hit explains it better, Canucks never actually offered a contract they were just kicking tires. It makes sense though, they had no idea bo would make the team, they chased after berglund (for garrison), bonino, and vey. As much as I hate bolland, sedin, bonino, berglund, bolland is better center depth than what we trotted out 2014. Could have got to second round with that.

Wow, I actually had no idea 1040 was so dominant over 650.
Even though I personally prefer 650 (or parts of it, at least), I'm always happy to see the Rogers monopoly lose money on their terrible quality of coverage.

I'm Betting MCP would agree with that. All Canadians should have the right to coverage of their favorite Canadian NHL team without
exorbitant fees.

I think I'd be okay with the fees if the quality of coverage was better. But Rogers is determined to use its NHL rights deal to drive growth for the MLB and NBA teams they own. Then they can keep cutting the local coverage and fill in the schedule with Blue Jays re-runs, which costs nothing to put on the air.
